Be interesting to see:

1. The quality of recruits that McCarney can attract between now and signing day.

2. How strong the emphasis is on the defensive side.

3. If we pick up any 'decommits' that opt to play here vs their current verbal commitment.

4. If we go after many JUCOs.

5. Big uglies vs skill players.

I am really curious to see how quickly they get into recruiting. Mccarney will have a little more time than Dodge did to get his first class together.

If I were a recruit, and he were sitting in my living room, I would have a hard time not getting excited. I expect it will be a good recruiting class.

One of the huge benefits of keeping 2 coaches from the previous staff is that it will help out in recruiting. You won't have to start from scratch.

Even before McCarney was officially named the head coach, Coach Canales listed D-tackles as one of his main recruiting goals if he were named the head coach. Since McCarney is mainly a defensive coach, I'm guessing that when our recruiting class is announced in February I won't have to ask my Clara Peller question.

If we do go after JUCO's I hope that they are D-linemen, AND they can transfer here in the spring.

It is always the first Wednesday in February.

I think December 15th is the JUCO signing date. Interested to see who, if anyone, is signed by that date. It would be nice to have a lineman or two on both sides of the ball go through spring practice.
