A Badge of Honor

Interesting bit of history here:

Let's start with a little tortilla-chucking history. Rooster Bowl history indicates that Texas Tech students have allegedly been hurling tortillas since 1993 in a rebellious response to the Texas A&M quarterback's derision of Tech as "good for nothing but making tortillas."

Did anyone know that was the cause?? laugh.giflaugh.gif

LOL, pretty good deep. And although I remind you again that I have before, for many years mind you, thrown my share of torts, I never threw a single one last saturday night.

With that said, think back over the years and years of criticism from our alumni, our students, our faculty and worst of all, the media concerning the apathy that existed at North Texas. Remember channel 5's Derek Castillo when he reported that November in 2000 prior to the Idaho game from campus in which he walked around and found every apathetic student he could find in trying to paint an image that no one cares about North Texas football?

After this past weekend I can say with confidence, regardless of what side of any arguement anyone is on concerning our football program, that our greatest enemy APATHY, is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
