LANTANA, Tex. (9/13/05) – North Texas sophomore Anthony Broussard and red-shirt freshman Harris Graham both recorded top 10 finishes to close out the Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic from Lantana Country Club.

Broussard recorded his second career top-five finish by tying for fourth place with a final round score of 75. Graham, playing in his first tournament for North Texas, also shot a third round score of 75 to take ninth place.

“I was very pleased with the way that Anthony and Harris played,” said North Texas head coach Jim Bob Jackson. “It was pretty tough out there today but I was encouraged by what I saw from my team. We still have a lot of things that we can improve on but I think we can build from this”.

The Mean Green as a team finished in 10th place with a three-round score of 903.

Broussard finished four shots being the tournament champion Andrew Ross from Arkansas State. Sam Houston State captured the team-title with a final round score of 298 to overtake second round leader Jacksonville State.

Broussard had a three-round score of even-par 216 while Graham posted a score of 4-over par 220.

KT Livingston placed 21st after a final round of 74 and a three-round score of 223. Andreas Kali shot a third-round score of 76 and was tied for 46th place. Jason Lindgren and Austin Welch tied for 51st place with three-round scores of 230.

North Texas returns to action on September 26-27 to compete in the Adams Cup of Newport.
