Devlin Isadore - How much eligibility

I have seen a couple of comments saying he has 3 years left, but based on the information I have seen the math does not add up -

  • After originally signing with Angelo State out of Aldine (TX) Eisenhower, Isadore transferred to Navarro following a redshirt season
  • He show playing for his JC in 2015
  • We are in the 2016 season - Here is what I found on Navarro's website -

Sophomore Devlin Isadore earned returning starter status after completing 54.6 percent of his passes (154-of-283) for 2173 yards and 20 touchdowns during the Bulldogs’ final six-and-one half games.  Consecutive 400-plus passing games and two more 300-plus games stick out prominently in those starts.  During starts 2-3-4, Isadore had a 59.9 completion rate, threw for 11 touchdowns and compiled 1192 yards – the best three-game, pass-yardage series by a Navarro quarterback since Adrian Nelson in 2011. During his 9-game season, the talented Isadore racked up completion, attempts, yardage and TD pass numbers that rank fourth in Navarro single-season history since 1970.  More Candidates:  Kenneth Arthur (6-1, 190, South Oak Cliff); Kyle Fuller (6-2, 175, San Antonio Lee); Derrick Ponder (6-2, 210, Bells); Harry Woodberry (6-2, 182, The Woodlands).

So from what I can find he seems to only have 2 years left. Am I missing something??

3 to play 2 has been reported multiple times, so that's what I am going with today.

He's class of 2014. Same class as Tee Goree, Brandon Garner, and all the other redshirt sophomores on our roster. They are 2 to play 2 after this season, so unless he has some hardship waiver claim, Isadore is no different than them.

Well, the previous was on Saturday, so today I am going with this, 2 to play 2.

Well, that changes things a bit. I swear I saw it written he had 3 to play 3, but never verified it. It was probably me spreading false info. I assumed this year was his first at Navarro.

In his announcement he had said he was looking forward to the next 3 years at UNT..talking about the class room?

Here's the article. He does seem to think he has 3 to play 3.

However, his Angelo State profile says he was on the 2014 roster.

And this 2014 position-by-position preview says he was a freshman who played the previous year in high school.

Then this shows his stats from last year at Navarro

And we know he played this season before getting hurt. Again, by my count he should be no different than 2014 high school signees who redshirted and never transferred. Only thing I can think of is he could get a waiver/medical redshirt if he can prove his redshirt in 2014 was directly a result of an injury, coupled with this season's season-ending injury before a certain number of games had occurred. Or if he left Angelo State before ever taking a class. When in doubt, always look at the high school graduation/college enrollment year.

Thanks, it was my understanding he left AS before he started school. Which would give him the 3. I hope so love talented dual threat qbs on the team at any position!
