The Golf boys are currently playing are 22nd after 2 of 3 rounds at the Aggie Invitational. That is a very good tournament with a good number of ranked teams. 2nd would be awesome. A good result would be important since in terms of making the regionals UNT came in a bit on the bubble and needs a good showing to have a shot of making the regionals in case they don't win the conference Tournament.

The girls golf team just finished a distant 16th out of 16 teams in the SMU tournament.  Over 50 strokes behind the 15th place team and over 100 behind the winner.  Under an interim coach that apparently is not working.

Which has nothing to do with the great job, the men's team is doing.

Yeah, the girls program definitely needs a jolt. This is a low point that comes after somewhat underperforming for a number of seasons.

The mens program on the other hand just needs more recognition for the job it is doing. Gotten to regionals the last few seasons, decent chance of doing it again, churned out 3 profressionals lately, 2 of whom just might make the cut to play at the Olympics in Rio.
