San Diego Alum??

Strictly for educational purposes: will you be switching your allegiances and message board presence to the Aztecs or Toreros?

Also, I hear Tijuana is great

No.

And Tijuana sucks. It's always been dangerous, but over the last 5-6 years it has significantly gotten worse. Also, getting through the border and back is an all-day nightmare. And if you want to talk about borders being wiiiiiddddeeee open, that area could be subject case 1.

Just got back last night from my yearly conference in SD. Place is fantastic, with great weather to boot. 75 during the day, 74 at night.

Petco Park where the Padres play is integrated right into downtown. Downtown/Gaslamp area is like an upscale 6th street, but covers 10 times more area. Zoo, SeaWorld, Balboa Park, The USS Midway. Lots of military.

There's Waterfront Park which is a great spot to take kids. Fun place.

Most importantly, there's a lot of good craft beer there.

Oh I've been there multiple times and I have been to every spot you are referring to. It's a great place and almost like a permanent vacation while living there. The only issue with the place is that it's not really college football friendly. So, I am just looking out for North Texas alum to watch games with or North Texas football seasons will be a lonely nightmare...misery loves company.

I got ya.

Speaking from NFL-watching experience, SDSU puts out quite a  bit of talent, so there may be fun in that. And they play at Qualcomm. You can also watch the Holiday and Poinsettia bowls.

So there is some hope yet. But yeah, I hope you really like baseball.
