Here’s my guess on how this plays out… Aune struggles at UTEP… Aune struggles vs SMUt and gets left in waaaaay too long and it messes with his head. Gunnell comes in late, but looks good. Team rallies around a change. Gunnell starts the rest of the year.

I really thought I was going to open this thread and see some injury report saying Grant was out for the season.

Don’t get me wrong here. I’m happy and thankful that people much wealthier than myself were able to step up and make this happen. This will allow us to continue to compete. But I have a feeling I have an unpopular opinion here too… “Well over 100 collectives have been established at colleges, including several that have more than one.” …So what you’re telling me is that out of 130 schools, we’re one of the last to do this… great 🙄 This has become the expectation. We aren’t special now because we have this. We were special because we didn’t have it. Schools that don’t have it will fall to the wayside rather quickly in todays college football landscape.

$500 for 2 season tickets, a parking pass, 50 more GA tickets and all that swag is a STEAL! Might have to renew under that program next year. 😂

Anyone know where the visitors fans sit? UNT just released away game tickets for season ticket holders but here’s no indication of section we’d be sitting in.

Has anyone submitted the “mother f’in” in the fight song? 😂

We’ve seen RB’s grow and improve, so in Cobbs I trust. We’ve seen defensive players grow and improve, so in Bennett I trust. We haven’t seen a QB grow and improve since Fine was here, so in Harrell I trust. Seth… I don’t trust.

Hope he’s all that we’re hyping him up to be. If Seth keeps calling the ultra predictable first down run up the middle and putting ourselves in 2nd and long situations, we’re going to need his talent… a lot.

I hope he lights it up out there and makes Seth wonder why he never gave him a chance to start.

I wish we had better facilities so recruits would want to come here. 🙄

I'm surprised to see that they think so highly of our donor support and potential for football success. I think most of us here feel like we struggle in those 2 areas.

I saw a lot of the same from him at the spring practice. There were a few nicely thrown balls. But I saw a lot of receivers slowing down to catch his balls too. And this isn’t much different than we saw last season. He always has a few flashes to give you some hope he could be good and a lot of underthrown balls that made you say, “WTF?” I won’t believe any positive reporting about Aune until I can see it in games. I’m not falling for that crap again. Been fooled by it too many times before. I’m still hoping someone else steps up and gets a chance.

Yeah, seems like a real missed opportunity in marketing his line.

I'm also looking at UNLV, but I have to work late Friday night. So I'm hoping for a late afternoon/evening game in Vegas to give me some time to travel there in the morning.

Can't wait for defenses to figure us out again...

Links to boards like this make me appreciate GMG so much more. I’m sure I could figure it out eventually, but that site is incredibly difficult to navigate and I feel dumber now for spending 4 minutes on there trying to figure it out. I gave up.

Let’s hope that P5 steps in and hires Seth away before he inevitably embarrasses himself in the conference championship and bowl games.
