Will loss to UTSA affect recruiting in Texas?

Im an alum of UTSA and currently attend UNT. Denton and SA, the people, the students, the academics of the two schools are way more similar than all this jibber jabber would make one think.

The only difference academically is what they're known for. UNT: Arts, UTSA: Science.

But overall, quality people at both schools. They outshine the few internet crazies.

Cant wait for the rematch in SA next year.

For the life me I don't understand this. UTSA plays in the Alamodome, not an aluminum benched high school stadium. UTSA has the second highest home attendance in Conf USA at almost 30,000, UNT barely over 20,000. Kids who know the talent that Larry Coker has coached over the years (not just at Miami) would be thrilled to have the opportunity to build a program with him. People who are uneducated about who Larry Coker the man is always try to attach him to the scandals at Miami that, like many issues, are caused by boosters. Larry is long gone from Miami and they still have issues. Also, someone forgot to send out the memo that UNT is an academic powerhouse.....really? And of course I failed to mention......going to school in SA a few miles from the Texas hill county, great weather, nice people and history/culture or wake up everyday in Denton. You get my point.

Listen, I attended UNT but I think some folks around here have become delusional. This program has never been much more than "JUCO" and now all of a sudden with a high school caliber stadium and Conf USA people think it's something it's not.

Reality check people.

Just guessing it's been a while since you stepped into a UNT classroom. Things have changed a bit. We lose recruits all the time to Tulsa, UH, TCU, LaTech, Monroe, LaLa, Rice, SMU, etcetera. We also win some. Even from UTSA. McCarneys got a list of guys he's coached too.

Your post is as crazy as the post to which you responded, except yours sounds serious. The original poster sounds like it was said as a joke.
