I hope JT now realizes how much respect he has lost over the past year and decides to work his tail off getting ready for this season. He obviously has the talent, and the potential big-time dollars riding on his performance over the next two seasons should be an adequate motivating factor. Also, not having Weathers on that list is a joke. He was a force from day one last season.

I totally agree...but I wonder if sports writers and the like dinged him for only making all those tackles b/c of the porous defense?

I see your point, NC, and think it's a logical observation. I would defend his right to be named to the team by saying " Yes, he had to make a lot of tackles because of the porous defensive front...BUT HE MADE THEM!". Probably made a high percentage in the clutch, where he was all that stood between the offensive guy and a score. Haven't researched that, just my opinion.

Totally agree about Weathers. He had one more tackle than Johnson and 26 more than Payne. He also had one more interception than either of them. He was also Newcomer of the Year last year which usually means he deserved all-conference recognition but they gave it to some senior instead.
