Softball Question; Re: Eligibility

Recommended Posts

Were our ladies provided with/offered and extra year due to Covid?  If yes, do we know if any are coming back for their extra year?  Based on the "Senior Day" activities, it appears all are moving on including two juniors.

It seems from experience....that most gals in softball.....once they get that degree they move on. Plus....I asked a parent....how many schollies does softball get? Was told it's 16 spread out amongst all the players. So not everyone gets a full ride. That's probably one reason....many move on. Because the extra year of "school" isn't free.

Extra Covid year is over, none of the girls have any more eligibility. Softball only has 12 scholarships that are spread out, not 16

Thank you.......for the correction.

And let me add....that as someone who hates the NIL.....I would much rather give to a fund so that all our softball gals, had all of their schooling paid for......instead of giving it to players in football and basketball......who are already getting a full ride.

Right there with you regarding the NIL.
