That is false.  "That's it"?  In 2017, undefeated UCF was denied a place in the playoff and beat #7 Auburn in their bowl game, the same Auburn team that beat supposed national champion Alabama.  Who would have won between Alabama and UCF?  No one knows, because they never got a chance to prove it.  But UCF proved they could beat a top P5 team, and it wasn't nearly the first time a "G5" did and it certainly won't be the last.
