Joseph is the nephew of legendary Katy High School head coach Gary Joseph, who just won his fifth state title with the Tigers last week.

His uncle, Scott Joseph, is the head coach at Aldine Davis. Another uncle, Doug Fertsch, coached in high school and at the college level. Grandfather Eddie Joseph was a longtime high school coach and an executive vice president of the Texas High School Coaches Association.
