    I’ve noticed a few schools play/played games in July or August. Didn’t we do it in the early years of GMac? Seems like a good way to get some work in.

    I thought it was busy, but not uncomfortable. It’s nice when there’s standing room only. It gives an excitement/energy. ETA: I think the OP has some great ideas! More forward thinking than my original response. Good stuff.

    Sustained offensive drives and reducing turnovers helps the defense stay fresh. Caponi makes adjustments to help stop the run. Much more is asked of Texada and Davis…they deliver! UNT wins.

    Of course it would take some of pressure off. What’s the alternative? 3 losses?

    At this point, I want to see improvements. Tackling for sure. Pressuring the QB. Consistent running of the ball. I’m also leaning towards Rogers starting on Saturday. He played too well for him to not get a shot. Does a consistent offense lead to better defense?

    I’m thinking 51-48 UNT, but it’ll probably be 51-21 UNT. GMG!

    Grasping at straws, I know… Late in the game we had 8 in the box. Earlier in the game we had 5. I understand the situations were different, but at least we know that we have the option to try and stack the line.

    As bad as the game was, UNT still had a chance to win. Rogers looked pretty good. The defense seemed to make some sort of adjustments in the 2nd half. If the game is ugly, I’d rather us win. I’d rather a boring win, too. The entertaining loss can happen, but last night wasn’t one of them for me.

    I thought the black jerseys/helmet looked good early in the game. The green got lost when the sun went down.

    Coach O has been great for UNT recruiting AND for promoting the UNT brand. We sit in Section 102 and it was full of recruits invited to the game. I believe they even filled up the upper deck. The guy knows what he’s doing. The team needs to hold up their end to maximize O’s efforts. GMG! Beat FIU!

    I’m terrible with guesstimating, but I’d say 500 Cal fans sounds low to me. Their section was pretty filled out. We also had some Cal fans in our section 102. Maybe 1000? IIRC, LaTech usually brings more peeps, brings their band, and is more raucous.

    I remember looking at the TOP near the end of the half and it was 14 min to 14 min. We had big plays, but no sustained drives. It was a tough day all around for the guys in Green.

    I’d say it depends on their goals. I wish they had all stayed, but I also with them well. Tylor Perry rightfully got applause yesterday. I’m turning my attention to FIU. GMG!

    The game was the game, but the game day experience was MUCH improved. He’s listening and making changes. This is what he should be doing.
