  1. NOOOO! When did he go out? I didn't catch it during the game.
  2. Nearly flawless. Picked up the pace. McNulty looked great. Completed every pass, scrambled well, and moved the chains quickly. Different play calls? Pissed about the previous interception? I don't know what it was, but I wished we had been doing all game and not just the last drive.
  3. You can buy a month of stAte's video subscription for $8.95 and watch it on your computer https://www.nmnathletics.com/PremiumVideo.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7200
  4. I don't understand...what's the good thing about all this?
  5. I don't recommend tattoos...I have to live with a portrait of Todd Dodge in his mean green coaching gear for life...ugh, I just wasn't thinking straight after that WKU victory...
  6. I would think that alumni numbers have a lot to do with it too. You can be in the largest TV market but if you only have 50 people graduating every year it's going to be tougher to build a following of loyal fans. Alumni are more likely to support a winning program no matter where they move. The likes of the schools have thousands of alumni all over the country who faithfully watch games on TV. That's one of the major reasons the national broadcasting companies want them. I think North Texas is well positioned because we have a large alumni and student population to tap in to as well as a top #5 media market. String some winning seasons together for people to latch on to and this thing could explode. GO MEAN GREEN!!
  7. Sweet. I will be watching!!! Wish I could buy through the Mean Green AD though...oh well.
  8. For defense the key will be frustrating and containing their QB. Aplin has an accurate arm and can also scramble really well. We'll have to eliminate/limit his passing options to frustrate him and then contain him when he tries to scramble. For offense the key is to build on the accurate passing game that we establishes last week to keep their defense out of the box and open up opportunities to make plays across the entire field. It's doable, but it will be tough. I hope our team has developed the maturity and confidence to get their first road win this weekend!! GO MEAN GREEN!!
  9. You have to consider the pros and cons to the Tuesday night game. You probably prevent a few thousand people from showing up but you get your victory televised nationwide. Which is more valuable to the program???
  10. I saw Tony Mitchell at the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Not a football recruit like you guys were asking about but a great recruit none the less and it was cool to see him in attendance! I hope he is enjoying his time here and doing well in classes because I can't wait to see him wearing green on the court soon!
  11. Sounds like a great idea Rudy! Having it on the video board and getting the cheerleaders on each side assisting would be a great way to get it going! Did RV sound like he would be able to get this going by the next home game?
  12. Yep, student section has been doing an excellent job at keeping the visiting team distracted. As we all know we are 3-1 at home now. I really think that the student section and fans have been a factor in those wins. GO MEAN GREEN!
  13. Ugh, this amateur move is going to kill our chances of moving up in podcast realignment. RV better be on the phone non-stop getting this fixed. Only at North Texas...un-freaking-believable!
  14. Harry, if you're worried about getting butts in the seats for the podcast, why don't you just show the rangers game on a small tv in the North East corner of the room?
  15. Arkansas State looked great at times. Their QB knows how to mange a game as seen in the 3rd and 4th qtr. Not to mention he knows how to scramble really...really well.
  16. Yes. If we don't take their fans out of the game early it's going to be a really tough environment.
  17. Selling beer in the stadium would make us more attractive for a new conference. Okay, probably not. But I would love to spend my money on beer during a UNT football game. Im sure plenty of other fans would do the same. Paying off that stadium could happen a lot sooner if they had that extra revenue coming in. :-)
  18. Yes, we have had issues in the first half of the season. Who hasnt? No one is perfect. Think big picture here. The guy took over a train that had officially run off of the tracks and crashed into a wall. He has successfully gotten the train back in working codition and now has it moving on the tracks in the right direction. For that, I would give him an A.
