  1. I won't be able to watch the game live on Saturday so I will have to wait and watch the ESPN 3 replay on Sunday. I was wondering if anyone knows of an app or way to stream the KNTU radio broadcast on an iPhone because I don't think the internet browser on the phone has the ability to stream (although I could be wrong). Any help would be appreciated because I'd still like to listen to the game as it goes on when I can but won't be near a radio or computer! Thanks!
  2. Not going to lie, from the looks of your stadium on ESPN3 against Troy and in this picture, it looks great! Wish I could make the trip over there because I'm sure it will be a great time and a great game!
  3. Yes, I thought this was brilliant. haha.
  4. I bet Vito is going to start calling the "fighting spork" a flat out "spoon" now. Whatever, spoons can be painful too if jabbed hard enough in the right area... PS - Best of luck with your degree and future, Tyler!
  5. One more note as I watch this... 4) ULL fans are drinking beer in the stands as they watch the game and cheer. I want to drink beer in the stands at Apogee as I watch the game and cheer.
  6. I'm watching the Troy vs. ULL game on ESPN 3 right now and they look to be a much improved team. A couple of things stick out to me in the first half as I watch this: 1) ULL, despite their "nobody" schedule, knows how to win and has been winning consistently. That builds confidence and I think it will translate to the field even more for them next weekend against us. 2) The wins have brought fans to their games. The stands are respectably full and NOISY. I think they will have good attendance next weekend against us and their crowd will be something that we will have to control early to help knock them out of the game. If we don't knock the crowd out early, they will jump on us and make it tough to regain control. 3) Troy made a lot of mistakes that sealed their own fate. Had they not made so many mistakes with fumbles, on-side kicks, penalties, and turn overs, I think they would have won. All in all, this is going to be a tough game in a tough environment. I think our coaches and players will be able to get it done if they can get going early, take their crowd out of the game, and play smart, consistent, aggressive, and penalty-free football like they did this past weekend. Times are changing! :-) GO MEAN GREEN!!!!
  7. I'm excited about the turbines. Can't wait to see what they look like when they're up!
  8. Out of curiosity, what is the AD doing to get students to the games? Free tickets, coache's letter, and a Friday night pep rally are all great but is there anything else? I'm always surprised how little most UNT students know about the football team. I think if the AD were a little more creative and aggressive about their student attendance campaign they would see a big ROI.
  9. Usually the replay isn't available until the following day.
  10. ESPN 3 is awesome if you have a decent connection for streaming. I absolutely love ESPN 3, especially with the archive feature that it has.
  11. At home after a disappointing showing last weekend. Coach Mac gets all the ducks in a row and the players show up to play some Big Hit City football. UNT 35 FAU 24
  12. Just in time for our grand run to start!! GMG!
  13. Did you see who they played before they played us? That record is a little misleading. They're a good team with lots of veterans who know how to win.
  14. Thank you. Thanks again. Coach Mac said coming in that he was going to build this program on 4-year players. You're right, McNulty didn't put us in the best situation to win last night. However, the coaches have been raving about him since the moment he stepped on campus. They talk about his natural talent, his hard work ethic, his dedication to studying film, the ability to get things done, and his passion to win. If this is the guy they think they can develop to be a truly SPECIAL quarter back - a Matt Grothe type that the coaches have classified him as - something we have NEVER seen at UNT - I am 100% on board with their decision to play him. I understand the importance of beating Tulsa for recruiting and everything. It's all true and holds a lot of weight. But to say that if Osborn started we would have won is all based on skepticism. We don't know that for sure. For all we know we could have lost by more if Osborn was in (there's no telling). The fact that people are blaming McNulty's dad for this "favoritism" is all based on complete skepticism as well. Come on people, Mac didn't play a true freshman without reason. He hates loosing. He doesn't sugar coat. He doesn't beat around the bush. There is strategy, logic, and purpose behind this decision even if it's for the next 3 YEARS and not one game. I suppose I would rather have a really special quarterback as an asset to the team for the next three years who can help make our team competitive against anyone rather than a lone win last night and mediocre struggles at QB in the future. Time will tell how it all turns out. All I know is that McCarney wants to build this thing the right way for the long haul and I am A-Okay with that
  15. Yes! Far less injuries and much more lean muscle! Once we start getting larger recruits in here we will have some serious size, strength, and speed.
  16. Chico is good. We are fortunate to have him here.
  17. Are you honestly saying you think coach Mac and Co. are in the wrong profession despite all of their skins on the wall and success at major programs?
  18. By keeping McNulty in I read two things: 1) Thompson may be out for more than just this game. 2) Coaches feel McNulty has more potential than Osborn and they want to get him experience. You've heard Mac talk. He doesn't sugar coat or play favorites. I doubt this has anything to do with McNultys dad. And no, I'm not related to McNulty in any way.
  19. McNulty is young and is making crucial mistakes. He has some very bright moments though. If Mac and Canales think this is a guy they can develop to be something really special, I trust them.
  20. This could be interesting. I feel for Thompson and hope McNulty does well.
  21. Yeah, Apogee isn't a factor in this game obviously. I was just talking about the program moving in the right direction in general and that I hope we can have a MUCH better showing in this game against Tulsa than the 2008 showing in the video. My apologies for not making that post very clear - it was a late night post sparked by frustration of past years.
