  1. I was thinking just turn it a bit and aim it right at the opposing team...
  2. This is good to hear. Any other observations you made? Differences from last year? Stand out players? I need some information to carry me the next 6 days...
  3. North Texas has been working hard all summer. FIU has been sidetracked with their swimsuit modeling and cutesy sand play.
  4. Give Vito a break, he's not allowed in. It's hard to report on something that you're not allowed to know about. Yes, I would LOVE more information, videos, articles, and updates. However, if keeping this stuff secret helps us surprise a few teams early on and catch them off guard (which I think is what McCarney & staff want and I think will work), then I am all about it. Just a few more days, gentlemen. You'll see the Mean Green in full force soon enough. GO MEAN GREEN!
  5. When you talk to people in the drumline community around the world and mention UNT...jaws drop. There are very few groups on campus that consistently represent UNT at such a high standard year in and year out. The members of the drumline work their tails off and put in insane hours to be the best in the world, no excuses. Despite this, you're telling me that because they don't play at football games you aren't interested in the work that they put in, the world-class product they create, or the extraordinary representation they give UNT? That's a shame.
  6. Some videos of Indiana practice, player interviews, and coach interviews have been posted the last couple of days. Can they stop Dunbar? Can they stop DT? Can we stop them? They look physical and a lot of people are talking about their newly installed "up-tempo offense" as well as their improved defense. Those will certainly be challenges we'll have to control but with the home field advantage and McCarney/Canales/Bowen/Riddle game plan, I think we can pull off a win from a Big 10 school! What do you think? Link to Video #1 Link to Video #2 Link to Video #3
  7. This is GREAT! Many thanks to all involved! This will help the UNT College of Music remain one of the most prestigious music schools in the world, raise the bar for UNT academics, and help UNT make an impact and difference in renewable materials! Pair this will all of the upgrades in the AD including the 80 million dollar stadium complete with 20 million dollar naming rights and increased coaching salaries... UNT IS ON THE MAP AND MOVING UP! Go Mean Green!!!!
  8. TFLF, if you had to put money on the "Super Conferences," how many would there be and who would be in each? Where does UNT end up?
  9. This is a blast to watch. Great to see that the team is getting more physical and energetic. A BIG thanks to the Green Gang for posting all of the videos, pictures, and interviews! Post more of them!
  10. Welcome! Glad to see all of the social media efforts by the AD!
  11. Lynn looks like a beast in that video! I hope he can contribute this year!!
  12. Mac & Canales are going to make some smart and wise play calls that allow us to win it in the end. Mario Cristobal ain't gonna know what hit em'
  13. I can't get over the fact that the football program actually has the feel of a legit D-1 program now. Just by listening to Mac talk and seeing pictures of practice, you can tell there is WAY more structure and experience in place now compared to the past. Can't wait for this team to pull off some upsets this season!
  14. These uniforms are are slick! Excited to see what the other "options" are that we have with them. The all green looks great though.
  15. I forget exactly how DT's injury happened. Did he get sacked or was he tackled when running the ball? Or something completely different?
  16. 1) We'll have a QB that can see over the offensive line. 2) We have the best running back in the conference. 3) McCarney is making the team more aggressive and energetic. 4) Offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes that actually work at a collegiate level.
