Vernon is now 11-1, having defeated Sweetwater this evening in Round Two(?) of the playoffs. Darien Williams, one of our verbal recruits, has been starting at quarterback for the Lions, but he prefers to play free safety, the position he was recruited to play at NT.

Does anyone know where Vernon will be playing next??? I would like to go to this game if they happen to be somewhat close to Denton/Dallas.

Darrien Williams is a total force in the Lions' secondary! I've spoken to 3 coaches who have played against him and they said he is a nightmare...all over the field. He can come up on the run and deliver big hits near the LOS or drop back into coverage and cover a man or a zone with the best of them. These coaches say that we (UNT) are getting a great one in Darrien!

Seminole (8-4) vs. Vernon (11-1) Saturday 4:00 pm (Tentative), Mustang Bowl, Sweetwater, Texas.

Not close to the metroplex, but maybe the next round will be closer.

I am in Sweetwater tonight myself, due to the I20 being almost impassable out here on the way home today. Never seen it snow that hard for most of an hour inside the State of Texas. We got the last two rooms in the town I think.
