I think it wuld be hard to put 2 North Texas running backs on the 10 year team, but it seems to me that de Mario Thomas should also be on that list. He didn't have the career that Patrick had, but he was National Rushing champion.

Now I really like that idea. There are some really nice houses on Tremont which is a cul-de-sac off Highland Park. I have two friends that live there. and it's literally the closest neighborhood to the new stadium.

I'm going to hate myself for saying this, but I expect miracles. We've got the remains of a team that nearly beat Kansas State, an OC in Coach Canales that is about to explode, a veteran head coach that I am told is the highest paid in the Sun Belt with skins on the wll to prove he deserves all that he's been given. To say nothing of a brand new stadium. I expect to win. Soon.

I would love to go 6-6 next year. That's quite a step, but I don't think it's unreasonable. Now, assuming we go 6-6, but don't win the Sun Belt, do we get a bowl invite ? Our attendance numbers should be up with the new stadium, our new Coach, and a team that outperformed it's self late in the season. We maight look good to a lower tier bowl. At least on paper.

He wouldn't be the first to leave for the "big time" and come back to play closer to home.

I have heard rumors of Guyer and Ryan high schools. But I'd like to remind everyone that the original home team, The Denton Broncos made a first round appearance in the play-offs after a lengthly absence. They were shown the door in the first round, but finally got some press in a town dominated by Ryan and Guyer football. Go Broncos

I was going to guess Rick Shaw (perhaps the greatest sports name ever). He was a reserve QB here and I understand owns a restaurant in S.A.

I've heard for years that Athletic Dept members don't read GMG. I'm not sure I believe it. GMG fans are the most loyal if not the biggest crackpots. I hope for Coach Mac to post here like Rick does from time to time (Glad to be Green). Good things going on in the land of Green.

I'm surprised Coach Mac would hire a "grad assistant" for our D line. With all the concern he expressed for our defense, and with all the connections I've heard he has all over the US, I was hoping for an assistant at each position with more experience. I may be mistaken, but I think the coach that held this position was an immediate grad assistant. And having said this, Coach Mac has forgotten more about the subject than I'll even know.

I was surprised to hear that the cost of the remodeling would be almost twice the cost of our entire new stadium.

I hope, even with the 1,000 degree heat of late August, the Grteen Brigade can show up with matching uniforms to open the new stadium. Wheather that means matching shorts and polo shirts (green I hope) or the full metal jacket marching uniforms, I hope they match.

I've lived in Denton all my life. I have never heard of the old gym, Men's Gym, now The Ken Bahnsen Gym, ever flooding. The name "Snake Pit" came from an opposing coach back in the Missouri Valley Conference days. He was commenting as to how hard it was to play there since the fans were so close to the court. He suggested that playing at Men's Gym like playing in a "snake pit." The Coliseum was built bigger and nicer, and took on the nick name, Super Pit.

Hmmm. I've heard that was tried somewhere else.
