Sorry, this is a slap in the face to UNT. Winning the conference and getting this??

Fox might very well be conservative but they do sprinkle in liberals in some of their shows. On CNN and MSNBC you will not find any conservatives

Even in eminent domain they cannot take the land without compensation https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/sites/default/files/files/divisions/general-oag/LandownersBillofRights.pdf Your property cannot be taken without adequate compensation. Adequate compensation includes the market value of the property being taken. It may also include certain damages if your remaining property’s market value is diminished by the acquisition itself or by the way the condemning entity will use the property.

If UTEP were to sneak in a win or two they have historically had a good following in the Dallas area

Welcome!! -
Not to get into the "right" or "wrong" but UNT is not the on School to do this. Also, the expansion is not new and out of the blue. I know in the El Paso area both UTEP and EPCC have done similar things. A legitimate question might be if "public" colleges are expanding and spending at an unchecked rate. The increases in cost when schools are building and building is a legitimate question. I hope the son has been preparing for this and will be able to make a successful transition. Sound like a bigger problem is that he has been getting a good deal on the land/building and might have issue if has to pay market prices for a new location.

He helped fill a need for their team and has been key. Great for him and them. Working out pretty well to this point for both sides

Do we have any still pending? Thanks

ND is like UT in the way the networks want them to be relevant. -
Agree for the most on this. My first job out of college they brought in four "new grads". Myself, one from NM State, A&M, and Prude. Long story short the ones from A&M and Prude were not the ones who got the promotions. I was fortunate to have a great professor, Dr. Bimmerle, who had me so prepared for the "real world" that I was able to do well.

I would think, especially in G5 and true "star" receiver could possibly take over a game more so than a QB, in most cases

Here is a question for debate .... Does a Great receiver make a "good" QB look better, or does a "Great" QB make "good" receives look better? one of the reasons I ask is that I was listening to one of the "draft" shows talking about QB's and one of the announcers was saying that one reason you see a lot of guys that you did not always hear about make it on to teams and some "big name" school's QB's not make it is due to the talent that was around them. I believe they were referencing the QB Jones for the Giants where in college he did not have great receivers who helped his stats, whereas a QB for schools such as Alabama and OU, for example, have multiple receivers who are usually so much better then those they are playing against. For a closer example think of Sutton and Quinn when they were at SMU and how they were able to perform. Probably somewhere in between, but always interesting.
