I agree. The NT Hall of Fame should be based on what a player accomplished while attending NT. It is named the NT Hall of Fame, not the NFL, NBA, etc.

This is kind of a different subject about gameday, but I have wanted to discuss this all year. When the team walks through before the game, does anyone else think they look ragged?? The way they dress has something to be desired. I wish that DD or RV would make them dress better. Most if not all SEC teams wear at least a tie when doing there walk through. UT, A&M and others wear team issued collared shirts and jeans. Just a thought.

My birthday is right before Christmas. I got a Mean Joe Greene autographed mini throwback helmet. Classic. But we could not find any new items to buy for my son. Did anyone else have this problem?

Per UIL rules the schools cannot give the kids rings. They have to buy them. SLC kids probably have the money to purchase the rings without having to work for them. Good to see that those kids will do what it takes to get their rings.

From past experiences, most of these kids transfer to one of two types of schools. 1. D1-AA so they can play immediately 2. D1-A school that recruited them during high school Once they decide to transfer they have to be released by that program before any school can speak with them. The kids usually contact coaches that they have some type of relationship with, (ie high school recruiting). This is why we should contact the big recruits in high school. There is always a chance that they could transfer at a later date. It would never hurt to talk to any recruit, no matter how highly they are being touted. If it were me, I would tell them that they always have a place to play if there first commitment does not work out.

I still say that all of this FIRE DD talk comes from his offensive philosophy and not his winning percentage. I like everyone else would love to win more games. Losing would not be as bad if we were more exciting to watch. I am tired of going to games and I can call half of the plays. I could take losing a little better if DD and RF would mix it up a little more and make the game a little more exciting. NT does not need to throw it every play, but some diversity would be nice. Please no more draw plays on 3 and 15.

Some are saying move on? What would have happened to the fan if the roles were reversed? What if the fan charged RF? At the least he would have been removed from the game and probably arrested. The apology is not good enough for me.

Coach, that is it!! NT does nothing to offset its lack of size and speed. We never blitz or stunt? How many times did we blitz last night? Most teams if undersized will do some things to keep a offense off balance. NT will never do this. I understand and can appreciate the bend but do not break defense, but sometimes you need to take some chances. If you get burned you go back to your basic defense. If our undersized D line was moving somewhere at the snap, I promise you would see a difference.

I agree that the team should have stayed on the field. But remember this was their first conference loss in 4 years. I am not trying to make excuses, but they might not of known how to react. You have to understand that this loss was much different than any of them have experience since coming to NT. With most OCC games they are expected to come out on the short end of the stick. Some OCC games they are expected to be competitive and the bowl games I believe they have the mindset to try and win, but if they are not the victors then it is not that big of a deal. I believe last Tuesday was a shock to that teams/coaches system. I think everyone of them expected to win that game no matter how bad they had been playing. You learn how to win and lose. It nearly becomes a habit. That is why some teams continue to win the close games and some teams continue to lose the same games. I hope our guys do not get use to the latter. I like everyone else on this board wants to have a winning program. However, I would rather win the SBC instead of finishing 2nd in any year. 6-5 is not satisfactory, but it is better than any losing season. Give them a break. If it continues to happen then make your concerns known at the athletic department. Hell, contact DD's office. Until then keep supporting the kids at the games and on this board.

The Fake Lonnie Finch makes some valid points, but here is a thought. I believe that most people on this board do not like DD's attitude towards the university fan base. Therefore when the times get tough they go after his head. I just wish that he would drop the us against the world attitude. Why can't we do this all together. Everytime you hear him speak he is saying something like I know that noone will be in the stands next week or on his talk show a couple of weeks ago he said something like "I guess we do not have any highlights since I have been coaching here". I believe that DD would get alot more support if he would ask for us to get behind his team instead of knocking the support he currently gets. Yes, any fan will get down on what is going on this season. We are no different from any other university that wants to have a competitive FB program. Yet we are the only school that has a coach that outwardly poor mouths his fans. Just once, I would like for DD to come out and ask for our the fans to get behind his young team and help them get through this difficult time. We had nearly 18k at Tuesday's game. I have not heard nor read that he thank the fans for coming out and supporting his team. How many do u think will show up in early November if his team keeps up this type of performance and he keeps the same attitude towards his fan base??

What to take away from this game: Of all the ways North Texas might have wanted to have its 26-game conference winning streak ended, giving up five turnovers and failing to execute on play after play is not what it had in mind. QB Daniel Meager was lousy only completing nine of 26 passes, but he also was plagued by dropped passes; the receivers didn't help him out. The much-heralded running backs can't get going with no one respecting the passing game. All is not completely lost. Troy still has road trips to UL Monroe and Arkansas State to get past, so if UNT can regroup and not trip the rest of the Sun Belt way, another conference title is still possible.
