The team put up a fight, and played with heart. I deleted my last comment. However, you need to win games first. The average fan isn't going to drive 4 plus hours to watch a losing team. Also, getting into a pissing contest with other fans about how good of a fan you are isn't going to attract new fans. Congrats on your dedication, but you're not doing yourself any favors by bragging about your support compared to others.

Take the green glasses off and you will be fine. This team is not going to win the conference. Will we win some games, yes. The defense caused a lot of turnovers, the running attack is going to be hard to stop, and Ruder doesn't hold onto the football. He steps in the pocket and makes throws. The timing was off a little with his WRs, but that will develop. It's the first game, and we only won 4 games last year. As long as we progress through the year, and get better each week, I will be happy.

The Phil Bennett defense is about getting stops on 3rd downs and causing turnovers. We will give up big plays, but also have big stops. This was the philosophy he spoke about with David Smoak prior to the spring. I appreciated how aggressive the guys were playing. I think the defense is moving in the right direction.

I doubt it, Northwestern State is out of the path of the storm. Storm is moving north east away from Natchitoches.
