I mean people in East Texas like him. I know coaches in East Texas that think he is an ass. I spoke to a UNT coach that use to recruit East Texas, and he was getting annoyed with Traylor. He said he would find these under the radar kids, offer them a scholarship, and a few days later Traylor would offer them. This happened when he was at SMU and Arkansas. As the late Al Davis once said, "Just win baby". Winning fixes everything. Win, and they will come.

I met him at the Market St in Flower Mound several years ago. He was very nice and down to earth. I met Graham Harrell at one of the coaching caravans. I had a few too many to drink that night, but we were talking about the throw he made against Texas. I made a comment how that cornerback that Crabtree shook off was someone I played against in high school. I made the comment "Yeah that jackass Jeff Traylor was his coach." He laughed but obviously didnt comment. Oh how the tables have turned.

Well according to the right wing nuts out in East Texas, Traylor wants to leave liberal San Antonio and move to conservative Lubbock. They said San Antonio is essentially California, and he wants out.

He is moving up quickly through the ranks. He was a GA at Alabama for 2 years. He hasn't been a DC that long either. I imagine he will be a HC in the next few years.
