1st charge: "According to the Port Arthur News, Joseph was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession in August 2005, six months after he was offered and accepted a scholarship from Brown."

Second charge was in 2006. Both of these are pending. Then:

"In the early hours of June 9 (2007)...at the Omni Hotel in downtown Austin, an off-duty police officer allegedly discovered Joseph sitting in a sports car that wasn't his. He was charged with two counts of felony burglary of a vehicle.

At that point, Joseph was kicked off the Texas team by Brown and announced plans to transfer."
