Do you believe in the Mean Green?!</H3>Let me boast for a bit about my alma mater making the Big Dance. At least 100 fans filled the Cajundome to see North Texas' 83-75 win over Arkansas State in the Sun Belt championship game.

Anybody who watched this game on ESPN2 will tell you that the Mean Green has a chance to be this year's George Mason. You see, they both have green uniforms and ... um, I'm sure there are some other similarities.

Seriously, congrats to Johnny Jones and crew for the clinching the school's second NCAA tourney bid. It's even more impressive considering shooting guard Kendrick Davis, UNT's second-leading scorer, spent the Sun Belt tourney puking with a nasty stomach virus.

Here's hoping for a 14 seed!
