Damn Dickey was cheap.....I didnt think the SMU coach got that much, ha ha and we still beat them...ha ha

Well if UNT wants a big time coach they will have to open their wallets, which isnt going to happen...I think that this is why coaches are tuning us down and this is the hardest factor RV is having to deal with in finding a coach.

Precisely. We just don't have the money to outspend too many 1-A schools outside the Sun Belt. We also don't have great facilities and any school that is not in the Big-12 is going to be a complete afterthought in the DFW area and since we are in the lowly Sun Belt it is even worse for us. We're pretty low in the pecking order for head coaches so we're just gonna have to hope we get lucky and find some diamond in the rough who can and wants to make a name for himself at UNT before bolting to another job in a better conference. As long as we're in the Sun Belt that's the reality.
