April 14, 1932 - October 4, 2022

I was in a country review band for over a year, and her songs always resonatted with me. They were powerful to me. So, so grateful for her contributions to the country traditions, as well as what she meant to female artists in general.

Just read that a doc was made about her, and it is really good. Will have to check it out!

An archetype, and ahead of her time. Probably more underrated now then she was in her heyday.
