“Offensively, I haven’t been a part of many games where you go over 500 yards and just score 12 points,” head coach Seth Littrell said. “It’s glaring to see why. Can’t run the football efficiently and effectively, especially in short yardage situations. We’re 0-for-4 on fourth down, we have to be much better in those critical situations, being able to run the football, especially in the red zone. That’s why you kick two field goals. We have to do a better job as coaches and players of making sure we execute in those situations.”

“I’m honestly glad UAB is the first conference game because they’ve won it two out of the last three years,” senior linebacker KD Davis said. “Just being able to see where we’re going to be and being able to get after them, it’s going to be a great feeling.”
