I'm digging these Mac Minutes. The second video brought up a side-thought for me. Coach McCarney often talks about his players becoming better students/men/husbands/fathers. I know I've heard him mention this several times myself. However, I don't see him getting his nuts kicked all the time like some do our former coach to this day... why is that? I don't think either of them are football ogres, only concerned with results on the field, and I fully believe they both want all of the players they come in contact with to become better men. It's just one of them is a proven BCS HC, while the other was an experiment gone way wrong. Bash Dodge's coaching abilities all you want, that is deserved. But I don't think he should be bashed for something that our current coach also believes in. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next Minute with Mac.

Your other points are fine, but this is actually the summary of any practice anywhere.

Not to pile on here... but I've called Jessica 4 times throughout the life of my MGC membership. Left messages all 4 times, waited 2-3 days and never heard back from her. Had to go up to John B, who's now gone. As the new director, I hope she's better about answering, or at least returning messages.

I can help. I'm sure alot of us could. Right now, it's difficult becuase there's not really a concrete plan. I know I'll have time before the game starts and during the game to help as far as man-hours go, but I'm not at a spot financially where I can fund a prize, and anything else appears to be up in the air. Especially if the University limits what we can do.

I can get on board with this. I do like Chick-Fil-A though.

This is a feasible idea. But before you get the ball rolling too far, you may want to run any of this by the SAC office or the AD to make sure you're not in violation of some University rules. I doubt you would be, but you never know...

Have you seen the way the Corps treats Reveille? I'm afraid today's Talons may treat our Eagle similar to how Tech XX was treated (RIP). Their track record lately is not good.

Decades of general apathy and opponents no-one cares about makes this difficult. Winning in C-USA will turn this into a problem though.

I think this translates to most end-zone seating at any stadium. The sight lines are just not as good unless the Mean Green are about to score right in front of you. I think I read a story somewhere that LaDanian Tomlinson always sat in end zone seats when he was young so he could watch how running plays unfolded. I don't think we'll have many LT types in the end zone section, so it's great for bandwagon fans and the Family Fun Pack fans. Let's just hope for the excessive winning to start this season so we can get the rest of the sideline seating sold out and people will desire to get into the game regardless of where they sit, which will have to be the wingzone.

Remember when just about everyone wrote him off as a project that would never materialize? I hope he can capitalize this year. We need someone to anchor the interior of the line. His size is obviously there. Now, can coach Nelson (and I'm sure McCarney is active in DL coaching as well) get his technique perfected, and does he have the drive to be All-conference, or better?

Seems to me that if you're not firmly entrenched on one side or the other, then you're a sheep. Right? I think that's what both sides of the extreme would have you believe. For real, if the fact that a fast foot chain has principles that they stand on that do not jive with everyone (Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and a myriad of others fall into this same category) is worth all of this firestorm nationally, then what is the National Debt, Public Education, etc... you know, REAL PROBLEMS worth?

I hope this can serve as an example. Regardless of how anyone feels about this subject, leave the employees alone. They're just doing their job. They don't need to hear how they work for the most bigoted organization in America, or, the most principled organization in America, or whatever... Oh, and if you're going to do something like this, don't film it and put it out there for everyone to see... that's dumb.

Coach must want some more speed out of the MLBs. Both Orr and Akunne dropped pounds. Hope they can still bust some heads while picking up some speed.

Do we have ANY open practices? This one is only a 2-hour practice, and I highly doubt they'll be running any plays/formations they don't want Auburn fans to see.
