  1. I believe they can practice with the team until their eligibility for the year is actually denied (if it is), although I'm not 100% certain.
  2. Usually (favorable or not) it gets pushed pretty close to, if not after, the start of fall practice
  3. I love me some Jesus, and I know He loves me, but I'll be darned if I'm not in need of some forgiveness when I'm speeding up I-35 on gamedays because I'm so excited to see the Mean Green.
  4. Oh, memory lane. I am still most partial to the Pizza Inn Nazi schtick.
  5. What happened to the old FFR? All you do now is piss on people over here or political-monger in the Pie forum. This, in particular, is tasteless. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you are quite possibly the face of UNT fandom...like the Mean Green version of Crazy Ray or Zonk. If anyone needs to be held to a higher standard and take the high road EVERY TIME, it really needs to be you sir.
  6. Based on what we've seen, I'll agree with this. But, I'm thinking that Benford has a plan for Hardwick. Although he may not see a ton of minutes, he'll probably see the floor regularly. Something like 5-10 min per game depending on how hot he is when he comes on.
  7. Agree, for the most part. I think I'd remove Hardwick from the bottom of the list and place him just above Niko. I'd also drop TJ to 4 and slide Alzee to the tie for 2nd with CJ. He's the best defender we have, and he can do all kinds of things on the ball or off. I just think, despite what he did last year, he's underrated. Only reason Jordan is not higher is because of his timidity in driving the lane when in a half-court set. I hope he starts doing that more. If he does, he'll skyrocket up this list.
  8. Just curious... in what type of role? Usually when I hear someone is "working at <X> Stadium", I picture some schmucks filling souvenir cups of Dr Pepper and pouring nacho cheese, or folding clothes at the pro shop.
  9. I see CJ getting on the national radar this year as the assist man to Tony. 2013-14, he'll be "the man", and I bet his career looks alot like Casper Ware at L.B. St. ...and that's not a bad thing. Does he get drafted? Who knows? It's up to him and how much work he puts in.
  10. OOps! Should have known an old-timer was looking for another 60's - 70's player. I suppose you can't say "the" other in this situation...
  11. Hint: Check out my avatar. Best FB player I've ever seen wear Green with my own eyes.
  12. I like you kid, but... Brevity is key on GMG.com. Also, just to chime in on the topic, I think anyone who professes to be atheist or agnostic should not try to quote the Bible as if they are Theologians. TFLF's post early in this thread (page 1) is probably overly-simplistic in his Old VS. New Testament breakdown, but the overall concept is there. Thanks to Christ, we aren't under that law anymore. After His death and resurrection, we are in a period of GRACE. Hence, there is no reason to stone anyone for breaking OT law... Christ already took that punishment. Gay or straight. Kosher or delicious Pork. Long hair or short... Jesus loves us all, and although the Bible clearly defines homosexuality as sin, Romans 5:8 tells Christians (or, Christ followers) that we are to love the sinner, because, after all, we all were once mired in sin ourselves, and I'm not sure about you all, but I am still in need of His grace DAILY. It appears that most logical people on this issue share the same thoughts: As long as the company does not treat any homosexual employees/customers differently, then people can have their differences of opinion.
  13. Shhh! As far as most people know, that's all Tony is.... No need to correct anyone now. I'm sure Tony will make himself known as more than just a "former top 100 recruit".
  14. One time, he was playing fetch with Ray in the rec and I saw him pull Ray's tail and elbow him in the snout so hard it made him fall down. Then Kenny said, "Get up puppy. You aint tough." Shortly after that, Ray went into a downward spiral of depression and tried to soothe the pain with drugs and booze. Then, one Saturday, he went missing...
  15. I believe these punishments will relegate Penn State to the bottom of the Big10/11/12 for at least 10 years, if not longer. By that time, it will be tough to rebuild. The Penn St. VS Indiana games are about to become more compelling every year. This is a very harsh punishment. The only major difference between this and the "death penalty" are the games played on TV and home games. SMU had both ripped away for 2 years, right?
  16. I wonder how much Boise St. academic standards changed over the years.
  17. I'm highly doubting TJ is being re-accommodated by Buzz because he's going to be the worst player on their roster and not get any playing time. If TJ wants to come home and Marquette lets him out, that's their perogative. If there were underperforming players on teams and it were considered OK for them to be let go from their scholarship, we'd be seeing a giant cascade of players being re-accommodated every single year as late-qualifying, stud players get their grades in order and are ready to be picked up by high-profile teams.
  18. Is it really that simple? I don't believe it is, or we would see tons of guys bumped, or "re-accomodated", all over the nation at coaches' discretion.
