Brett loved North Texas athletics and was a very instrumental part of the Athletic Top 20 (student group) that I created to market Mean Green sports. His energy really helped the Top 20 do some great things. He was a fixture around my office, always wanting to see that was going on with the athletic department. I am sad to see him go so young.

Two things that are going to happen relative to NIL. One, there will be a student revolt concerning student service fee usage by the athletic department and two, there are going to be law suits from women's sports to get a piece of the NIL money. This will not be just a North Texas problem, but across the nation.

Now we need someone to coordinate the activities of the two coordinators.
