Glory to the Green

I don’t have money to burn, but I set up monthly giving to the MGC. This is college athletics now. This is what we need to try and be competitive.

We’ve added two to the portal so far, I would think we could find a QB to come in and be effective.

I think I’ll remember Rogers 2023 season pretty fondly. I wish he’d stay for another year to solidify his mean green legacy, but that doesn’t take away how good a season he had for us. I just hope he plays wherever he ends up.

On the last coaching show, Morris mentioned not burning the redshirts just to burn them. I think if we continue to show we do what’s best for kids, the HS coaches will continue to believe in the Mean Green coaching staff. Yes, if they can play then play. If they’d benefit from 4 games then sit, then that’s what we’ll do.

I think it depends on the situation. If the player was encouraged to leave, I doubt they’ll come back. If they left on their own, and we still have a need at the position, then they are welcome back.

In hindsight, the mass exodus should/could have happened after he was hired. He was hesitant due to the team coming off of a 7 win season. This next season will truly be his team. Let’s see what happens when he has his recruited players. I’m disappointed in seeing some of our guys leave, but I’m excited to see next seasons on field product.

I see his Twitter handle on many new offers. I think he’s definitely putting in the work. If this is the new reality of G5’s, then get to work! I don’t necessarily love this new landscape of college football, but it is what it is.

He participated in Senior Day. I don’t think we (the fans) really know his plan.

The TP opened today. There hasn’t been time to bring in talent. I think waiting to see who is signed for the Spring…possibly summer, would be a better gauge.

Before any recruits or transfers….this looks very similar to our 5-7 team. I’m excited to see what happens with a full off season with Kegans AND some new players. Early TP has been tough for us, but let’s see what’s brought in before going into full on panic mode.

Would he play DE for us?

I noticed this, too. The LTTC does not make it easy, but I also don’t feel like it’s for small time donors either. I could be wrong…it’s just a feeling based on the website

Good point. More followers may lead to more NIL opportunities.

Let’s see what happens in the portal and early signing day. Let’s see how players develop with Kegans. Going up against the top 4 teams in the AAC leaves no doubt what the expectations are to compete. It’s up to the coaches to recruit and develop. I’m excited to see how the off season plays out. GMG!

Coach O is cooking something….

Not that I’m defending PB, but that 6 1/2 point difference would have given us two more wins this season.

I’m cautiously optimistic, too. I’m curious how this staff recruits during early signing period. I’m also eager to see how the TP could benefit this staff. I don’t hear much from our Light the Tower Collective. Is our NIL healthy enough to attract/keep some talent? I hope so.

45-21. UNT. I think we win big, too. Big showing to close out the season. Proud of our team. New coaches, new systems, new conference, some tough losses, and this team never quit. GMG!

I believe it was Grinch’s second season as DC. I know SL lost faith in the Eastern Washington coach mid season, but this situation is different. Caponi didn’t take over a top 25 defense. I see what you’re saying, but I just don’t see him getting released of his duties after the season. I could be wrong, but I don’t see it.

I wonder about this sometimes, too. I assume its visitors that are not necessarily UNT fans.
