  1. Hard to believe that someone actually took the the time to analyze and handicap this game, but never underestimate the depths that degenerate gamblers will go. Nothing like being the butt of the joke again.
  2. Thank you Jared Mosley and Eric Morris! What time is shuffleboard today?
  3. With his glaring lack of results so far, it seems likely in my mind that Mazin Richards is one of those that has not 'bought in' to his new role and this new scheme. It will be interesting to see if the DC remains committed to a scheme that is producing worst in FBS results or if he attempts to adapt.
  4. Coaches will always tell you that because it is in their best interest to tell you that to CYA. It may be time for Morris to open the first envelope.
  5. For me, this has less to do about the losses and more about bringing a visibly unprepared and undisciplined team to the field to begin the season in all 3 phases of the game. That first game was ridiculous. We looked like a rec team. If the coach is going to need 2-3 years to get his guys in here and get them used to his system, he was most definitely the wrong guy for the job because that is not what we were supposed to be doing. We were supposed to be hiring a guy that could come in and take the next step without requiring a rebuild. Isn't that the reason we hired another air raid guy? Trying to sell a rebuild at this point is a non starter for me. If this is going to be a rebuild then Mosley should have some explaining to do.
  6. Just checked and the UNT section for DMN still links to Brett's DRC articles.
  7. Coach, here is a suggestion on how to improve tackling. Don't wait until the season starts to make it a priority. And don't wait until the season starts to suddenly realize that you may be a little undersized to run your defensive scheme. He should have been hammering the portal after the Spring if he did not think he had the personnel needed to be competitive, much less successful. He does not get any points from me by showing up to his weekly press conference giving BS coach speak about taking accountability after your team looked completely unprepared in doing to play two weeks in a row. The time to take accountability was the day he was hired, not after the season starts. Hard to imagine the type of dysfunction present on the defensive side of the ball just suddenly appeared in the first game without any warning. P.S. Just looked up his total defense rankings while HC at UIW from 2018-2021. #111, #115, #95, #95 out of 123 teams. Looks like he has a history of not knowing how to teach his teams to tackle. Awesome.
  8. Whether we want to admit it or not, Littrell elevated this program to mediocre from awful. He provided a glimpse of what could be, he provided hope so the AD reached with extensions. Unfortunately, he never took the next step. Maybe we saw his peak. Happens with a lot of coaches. It was time to move on if we were serious about taking the next step as a program.
  9. I do not profess to know what it takes to run the 3-3-5 defense successfully, but I can confidently say that it appears to require what we do not have.
  10. Looking forward to see who chokes who at halftime of the ACU game. My money is on Cobbs choking out Caponi.
  11. Such a great example of the HUBRIS BS that spews from Bonnie Brae Retirement Village. Prolly got a little shuffleboard lined up for this afternoon. Not a care in the world because they got a plan!
  12. We should try turning the stadium lights down low this year.
  13. I like Jason. I would not wish that on him.
  14. We are from corporate and we are here to help! Also like the earlier suggestions of Phil Bennett. He may even be a better/more likely option due to his familiarity with the program, but any of these types would work. No way you can trust self evaluation from this coaching staff or HC after showing up so unprepared for the season. We really need to know if there is anything salvageable.
  15. Crickets? Not a peep? No acknowledgement of issues, reaffirm unacceptable performance, plan to address, hat in hand, etc. Nothing. Nothing but HUBRIS and bunker mentality. Same BS from the retirement home just a couple different names on the desk. When will someone be held accountable for anything? President Smatresk should have a very visible admonishment of his AD to reassure alumni/fans that the product being put on the field is not consistent with the level of his expectations or commitment being made by the university, students, alumni, boosters, etc. and that the AD is committed to delivering a quality product. This type of action by Dr. Smatresk costs $0 and send a message that the same old song and dance isn't going to cut it for UNT athletics. #hit1
  16. Nah, prolly more technical difficulties. I wish we could technical difficulty the rest of the season. Maybe we claim a very contagious Covid outbreak for the rest of the season?
  17. Clearly we need to start a dome fund. #datcudome #hit1
  18. Even the highlights from the AAC couldn't keep us from looking pathetic.
  19. La Tech - 63 UNT - 31 If Morris starts Earle again this week and there are no significant signs of adjustments on defense, you will know that this shit show is not just coordinator issues.
  20. Exactly! A stately look that never goes out of style.
  21. As long as he doesn't run the 3-3-5 on D, prolly worth a shot.
