Looked pretty decent in first half. 20k+ for sure. A lot less there now.

Too late. Saw the other day that the ACC referenced that they are now a P3 conference. I am assuming they demoted the Big16. Just rearranging deck chairs on the way to the P2/P1.

It may take this AD and HC a couple of years, or maybe sooner, but based on what I have seen so far I am pretty confident they have the skills to put us on a level playing field with ULM. Dare we dream.

Possibly, no sign of him on participation report. However, even redshirts can participate in up to 4 games so may be planning to get him some looks later in the year but if he has the ability to contribute, not sure now is the time to be holding anything back on D.

I am happy coach got his 1st win. The team really needed a positive outcome. Starting 0-3 would have been disastrous. I hope they were able to enjoy their victory today. However, starting tomorrow I hope they are ready to figure out how they are going to fix the defense or they won't have many more wins to celebrate I'm afraid. They should now have some tape to see the difference between the 3 and 4 man looks they were giving. To the naked eye it seemed like the 4 man fronts were much more effective, but the tape will tell the true story. The D pretty much fell apart in the 4th quarter and gave up about 50% of the total yards. Definitely concerning that when they had a chance to put away the game the defense rolled over.

Rogers at QB definitely seems to move the ball more steady with his short to intermediate pass efficiency, which can only help this defense. Earle seemed more reliant on the home run ball which is seemed more susceptible to stacking multiple 3 and out drives together which contributed to exposing this defense.

So, we know the coach is aware of the port and sort of how it works, but may not be aware that defensive players also use the portal?

Coaches really missed an opportunity to have a semi dominating win and quiet the critics, but a win is a win and the first win is always tough. Obviously not pretty, but in the end got the W. Lots of work still needed, but at least bought themselves a little time. Nice to have a bye week to keep working on things, like ditching that 3 man front, and hopefully be ready to take care of business against ACU.
