  1. Ah, the great portal. Sometimes it takes you right back to where you were.
  2. This. Reminds me of the interest in the female field goal kicker from Vandy (that wound up playing soccer for UNT for a year). She gained a lot of Internet interest from the novelty/rarity of being a female football kicker, similar to being a 30 year old college QB.
  3. All right. Who called this guy about the open position in the first place? He certainly didn’t read about it.
  4. Liking his coach would be stating how fortunate the team is that lands him. Instead he decided to bash UNT’s decision making. Reads like sour grapes to me.
  5. Unless we watched the quarterback battle in practice, not sure we can say Kason didn’t get a fair shake. I’ll bet he had every chance to prove himself in practice to be considered for more game time exposure. I’m not sure what the coaching staff would have to gain by unfairly keeping from a shot at more playing time. While Kason didn’t get the game time that other quarterbacks received, I think it’s unfair to say it was unfair.
  6. Merry Christmas and Scrappy New Year!
  7. @bstnsportsfan3 - I’ll have to make sure to keep an eye on you moving forward for all things one entry per person. 😁
  8. Does he have any interest in filling the big shoes of Scrappy? He’d be an awesome Scrappy. Tons of energy. Great dance moves. Filled with enthusiasm.
  9. Not only did we not win it, we didn’t even play in it. That was UTSA vs. some other school that isn’t coming to me at the moment. #fantasticjournalism
  10. Those that I know that didn’t go said it was because of two reasons: 1. Start and end were going to be so late. (Impacted what to do with kids.) 2. Near freezing temperatures. Neither had anything to do with the team.
  11. Under the “Share Tweet” options, select “Copy Link” then paste the link in your post.
  12. Actually, this year was more costly to the University. Wanted to do essentially the same thing as last year, but the Frisco Bowl wouldn’t allow it. There was already a contracted tailgate event between the bowl and Tailgreeter. You might recall that originally the cost was to be $100 per person. The Alumni Association joined forces with Tailgreeter and paid down the per person cost so that guests only had to pay $25 per person (or $75 same day). This cost the Alumni Association more money because much of last year’s event was made possible through alumni donated food, drink, etc.
  13. I’d like to see what it would look like if the Texas, SoW, and numbers were all outlined in white.
  14. You need to go back and rewatch that sequence. Aune’s blocked pass on 3rd down led us to punt. Had nothing to do with the clock. If they panicked and started using time outs, Boise may have had time to come back and score before the half ended. As someone pointed out in the other thread where this came up, leaving too much time on the clock burned us with UTSA. I don’t have much respect for your “clueless” comment, friend.
  15. Yeah, should have called time outs so that Boise would have had time to have done something other than take a knee. #donotpanic
  16. Hind sight’s 20/20, but as it played out, had they called a time out, BS gets the ball back with more time to do something with it before the half rather than taking a knee.
  17. He will be drafted in the roundest of rounds. 0
  18. I tried to figure out a way to do it, but couldn’t pull it off. ESPN has controls in the app that prevent screen sharing to a TV from a cell phone over HDMI. Unless there is WiFi in the parking lot (or a cost effective hot spot), not sure how to do it.

  20. Is the practice field still named after Dickey? That would be a little weird. Maybe Fuente would ask that the windmills be named after him or something so it wouldn't feel so weird.
