UNT 90 Grad

The NFL Network schedule shows replays of the Miami/JAX preseason game tomorrow (8/13) at 1am and noon CST. Got my Tivo ready! http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/schedule/0813

I'm section F, Row 25...two rows in front of you. The seats are in the upper tier (row 20 or so is the front row in the upper tier). People in that area are into the game, but they don't get too rowdy...at least not in the previous 3 years or so that I've had these seats. There are a few hecklers a few rows back, but they may have just not been big on Dickey. Although the "Go Mean Black" cheers were slightly humerous during the last home game. It looks like there will be a lot of new faces in the reserved sections this year, so your guess is as good as mine on whether or not we'll have a fun area. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Seems like if we dug out everything within the bowl of the stadium so that the field was well below ground level, added stands in front of the existing home and visitor sides (bringing seating closer to the field as in the doctored pic), and pulled in the metal bleachers (closing in the existing gaps), we might have something semi-decent. Though we'd have to find an alternative to the Mean Green Club party deck. Oh, and of course add SOW on the 50. That mixed with the concourse/restroom renovations taking place. It'd still not be a new stadium, but maybe a lot better than what we currently have.

By chance, were those the pants UNT sported during TD's first stint at North Texas? Seems like the timeline is pretty close if I remember correctly.

Bret Vito on Belo's Mean Green Blog seemed to think we might see big things out of Jamario today. I wouldn't call what I saw big, unfortunately. If I remember correctly, he got a TD, but I think he wound up netting about even on yardiage. Then they didn't seem to play him much after the first few seires. It would be nice if he could become the threat he used to be...giving the opposing defenses that much more to think about.
