What really pisses me off about the current Scrappy costume is how the Athletic Department and University redesigned all the Scrappy logos to match it. Hell, there's even a statue on campus. I don't understand why we leaned so hard into a generic costume of mediocre quality.

With recent rule changes making it harder to run the triple option and NIL and the transfer portal, I really question how good the Service Academies will be in the new CFB landscape. Being forced to run offenses more in line with everyone else will make it easier to defend them, and they won't be able to take advantage of NIL and the transfer portal as well as everyone else. Not saying they'll suck, but I think they'll have a very hard time getting to the top of the conference.

I’m hoping we use the next two weeks to install more looks from the 4-2-5. I’m guessing all we had last week was a base look with not a lot of stunts/blitzes/coverages. Might explain why we abandoned it in the 2nd half?

Despite the garbage broadcasts the last 2 weeks, I’m still glad all our games are on ESPN+. CUSA doesn’t require teams to meet certain broadcast standards like the AAC does. Production quality should be much better the rest of the season.

Army will never be a threat to win the AAC. As of now, SMU is a much better program. To suggest otherwise is delusional. They’re only being considered because of the viewership they draw and ESPN wanting the Army vs Navy game when the CBS contract runs out in a few years.

More valuable? Maybe. Stronger? No way.

FIU lost more to the portal than we did. They are arguably worse than last year. The blaming of Baker in this thread is comical. The fact is our coaching staff has been a massive failure so far and deserves all the blame. Wren didn’t force Morris to start Earle or go with a defensive scheme that everyone questioned from the start. Our staff had time to retool through the portal. They just chose not to. It was a total misevaluation of how our current roster would fit their schemes.

I agree, Wren should have fired Littrell after the 1-5 start in 2021, but spare me the BS that last night was his fault. Morris took over a 7-7 program that had a good amount of talent coming back and somehow has sunk us to the depths of the Dodge era in one offseason.

I think the AAC would love to add TXST if they show improvement the next couple years. Only thing holding them back is their pathetic on-field performance. Since moving to FBS in 2012, they've only had one winning season (2014). Their record since 2014 is 23-73 and haven't won more than 4 games in a season.
