  1. You all act shocked that the Air Raid is so similar to what Dodge ran. What did you expect?
  2. Is he related to Charlie Brewer, the QB that we are recruiting from there?
  3. http://247sports.com/player/malik-ellis-87356 http://www.scout.com/player/206934-malik-ellis/news?year=2016 Looks like we are going the way of the Air Raid offensive lineman, tall and rangy. It appears he is out of Dangerfield and signed originally with Texas A&M Commerce as a 6'4" and 255 lb. OL, so he is still growing.
  4. So much wrong with this post. Nolen was president during the 70's ending in 79', not in the late 60's. Jackson was a 10 term State Rep and was elected 4 times to serve as a Dallas Co. judge. I don't think he was disliked or "pushed off on UNT." The BOR has a number of UNT alumni. Brint Ryan, Courtny Haning, Donald Potts, Rusty Reid, Gwyn Shea and Laura Wright are all alumni. Athletics is not funded by the state.
  5. I think some folks label anything cooked on a grill BBQ. So wrong.
  6. My goodness, you've become delusional and even dispute your own posts when someone clearly shows you your own words.
  7. Paranoia is a sad, sad state.
  8. Not going to be able to make the 5 hour drive this year due to kid's activities. Glad to hear I can watch on my tablet.
  9. I don't think anyone has to complain. It has become quite obvious where every thread is headed these days.
  10. Of course you ignore what I put in bold. I am not trying to shut you up, but why do you feel the need to post this same crap every single day? Why is it rude to address your concerns with those that have the ability to facilitate change, but it isn't to come on here and express the same ol', same ol'?
  11. Sounds like Wheeler might be the exception to the rule. At least I hope that comes to pass.
  12. I agree that the Spring Game is for the fans, but I appreciate and understand Coach L putting the team's needs ahead of the fan's this year. I would rather be excited by the results in the fall than in the results of the Spring Game.
  13. Not sure about the living on campus part, but yes, he is a student.
  14. So true. An employee of mine is a Tech alum, along with her husband. They went to the Tech/UTEP game in El Paso two years ago, and she stated that they will never go back because of the fans and the lack of security.
  15. Yet you will come on here multiple times, each and every day spewing the same, as you state, diarrhea of the mouth. Regardless of what flyonthewall stated, did it ever occur to you that the money was not there to pay off, Mac, Benford and RV all at the same time? If the rumors are true, then Mac had to go and had to go then and there. It is funny how you whitewash over known facts to twist the story to fit your agenda and don't look at this objectively. Mac had to go and $2 million was spent to send him on his way for not doing his job. I would rather that occur than allowing him to continue to kill the athletic department's cash cow just to get rid of the AD and Bball coach. If RV's and Benford's contracts are extended, then I will question their true sanity.
  16. I find it funny that people are upset that Coach Littrell has changed the format to one that best fits the team, best fits the coaches from an evaluation point and will benefit the players the greatest. This isn't about us, it is about the team getting better. Also, regarding the size of the roster, remember, we will not be playing with an 80 man roster next year once our entire recruiting class, preferred walk-ons and walk-ons arrive in August. Will the roster lack the preferred depth? Sure, but we won't be rolling with only 80 next year.
  17. And how would this have solved the problem McCarney had become and the team quitting on him?
  18. And you have nothing to do with UNT, so stay at UH and don't come on here. Oh, wait, your own don't want you either, do they?
  19. I agree. They ponied up the cash to buy out McCarney. BTW, how does anyone deserve these huge payoffs to basically go away for doing a terrible job anyway? Do they also have the cash to buy out Benford and RV's contracts? I doubt it, so they will ride them out this year and then replace them.
  20. We talk about Benford coaching in the final year of his contract without an extension. Seems RV is in the last year of his deal without the security of an extension, and if "The 17" really loved him so much, this would already have been taken care of. Looks to me like it is a win or else year for more than Benford.
  21. Sorry, my humor was lost on someone. I appreciate(d) all that Billy has contributed to this board. We should locate an intern from the incoming freshman class to work under the tutelage of Mr. Miyagi, I mean Billy, to pick up the recruiting research and run with it for a few years.
  22. By the way, Mr. Green's first name fits a Benford led team.
