I can remember two recent recruits from Celina. Nathan Tune was a good guy but was clearly not meant to play at this level and Franklin the lineman flamed out.

He is the lowest rated player out of 152 in Texas who have been evaluated by 247sports. Doesn't seem like we're missing out on much.

You do realize Tune was the starting QB his senior year before getting hurt and starving Ray, do you not?

If he wasn't "meant to play at this level", he wouldn't have got past #4 in the depth chart (see Brock Berglund).

Here's a kid who I've been keeping an eye on, who still has surprisingly yet to receive an offer. His name is Dakota Laws. He's an offensive lineman from Denton Ryan, and he was 1st-team All District and 2nd-team AP All-State Selection last year as a junior. He reports some interest from UNT on scout. Plays left tackle for Ryan, and is listed around 6'4" 285 lbs.

doesn't sound like he'll even consider UNT:

"I went to UNT, but I didn't really enjoy my time there. It just wasn't the place for me. I didn't get to talk to the coaches. And the coaches are the biggest factor. I also want to feel comfortable, be close to home and go somewhere that has a really good education."

According to this article by Gabe Brooks, we may have an offer out to Conder. Definitely didn't sound that way in this article.

Sounds like the coaches want another good haul at receiver for this class. I hope we start utilizing the receiver position more. Plays to our strength and makes for a good recruiting pitch.
