As I continue to watch the progress of our football stadium, one thing becomes clear to me....it is the nicest small college football stadium in America! I don't mean "small" in a bad way, just not one of the megga stadiums! I always loved SMU's Ford Stadium since it opened. But, HKS and Manhattan Construction have teamed up for another jewel! I get to pick out my seats on Monday, May 9 and I can't wait.

Like most of you, September 10th can't get here soon enough! I look forward to seein' everyone and discussing how far we have come. I feel like BIGTIME! I really never thought this day would come!

P.S. Come to the final Mean Green Caravan Stop in Grand Prairie on May 19! Love to see you at our historic Uptown Theater in Downtown GP. Just a couple miles off Highway 30 and Belt Line!

      A few HSO's

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      I gave you a +1, but I also suspect he would not get along with the Grants and Ross's of our world. Would be loads of fun and wins, though.

      Best BBQ in each Texas college football town

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
