Smiley stats last week?

Finally getting around to watching the replay of last week's game as I mentally prepare for #BeatUTEP.

In the second quarter, Turner Smiley takes a pitch on an end around and runs for about 35 yards. Why is he not credited for rushing yards on any of the stat sheets? Is a forward pitch (he ran in front of Morris) considered a pass?

Thanks,

GMG

It is considered a pass because it is forward, thus why the other team can't jump on it if he drops it.  If he hands it off, and the exchange is messed up it's a fumble.
