  1. game was played in Annapolis. Same as West Point. Army only allowed the cadets into the stadium. Both being essentially Military bases, i assume no one is coming and going freely, thus making the whole academy an essential bubble..(may not be disease free, but a good chance is Covid free)...haha
  2. pretty dumb...im sure they would have mirrored army and just let the cadets in...which i would assume our academy's right now are about as close to a closed bubble as we can get
  3. Baylor was already set to host...we wouldn't need a hotel if we didn't want one...just need to find some busses and load up
  4. This was going to be the FOX game of the week at Noon....lets get on the phone and get on national tv
  5. Now lets just find a way to include winter sports...want to see 2 more years of Hamlet not 1.
  6. There is a part of me that says to just push my tickets to next year...if they will let me buy a parking pass to tailgaite...then if they don't sell out the 25% ill go to the game, but if there is 25% that will routinely fill the stadium i will gladly throw the party pre game and then listen to the game on the radio or watch on tv while cleaning up said party...
  7. Are they holding any tickets for students in this 25% or could they maybe be letting in 25% students as well to make the total capacity 50% which would seem to make more sense, since that would align with the state.
  8. agree on the thoughts of Mac and what he wants on the court, but Lewis looks like a much bigger offensive threat that Geu was
  9. now the question begins...if this is the road we want to try and travel again this year (i hope we do), how hard will it be to get this type of schedule again after the year we just produced and what we have coming back?
  10. Dayton, San Diego St., Gonzaga....This year the top was littered with non blue bloods (yes gonzaga is a household name, but its not Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, etc...)
  11. I don't think people are arguing that he cant make somewhere else, just that (myself included) don't think he is going to make it somewhere else as a PG.
  12. The kid GRADUATED. Period. at that point he has the blessing to leave to further his career, future outlook, etc....just as everyone of us did.
  13. question? can we play a scrimmage game on the 7th? or that against the NCAA rules?
  14. To me this is very simple: Woodridge is a much better fit (for his style) at Gonzaga then he was at UNT Hamlet is a much better fit (Style) at UNT than Woodridge was If this was the pros, and UNT and Gonzaga had traded these players (Woodbridge to Gonzaga, Hamlet to UNT), both teams would call each other again this offseason to see if they could do another trade, because both teams got better because of the switch.
  15. talent level on the court would be a toss up but i think this years team would have the advantage in coaching talent. Dont get me wrong, JJ was a good coach, but i think McCasland is a step above when it comes to Defensive game planning and in game adjustments.
  16. I generally think for most kids they want to “go off” to college, but not so far that their family and friends can’t come watch them play. Denton - too close for most Dallas - borderline outside the metroplex - I’m far enough away from mom and dad but close enough to see them and them see me when the time arises
  17. Outside of the immediate standings, this was not a good deal for UNT that WKU lost to FAU...We needed their loss to be to a team at the top, not the bottom, this will certainly hurt their RPI.
  18. obviously nothing to go on here other then the renderings, which show the corner boards as rectangles and not squares, so if i was going to guess, i would say we would get 4 video boards that are twice the size of the current single corner video board.
  19. I think it primarily boils down to the fact we can recruit, Texas (DFW, West, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, East), Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, and even Mississippi without having to pay for flights for our coaches.
  20. pretty sure the City of Denton has nothing to do with NY Sub Hub relocating
  21. Hell...original date was sometime last spring (if not earlier) then it was this past august, then oct, then nov, then dec, and now jan? good lordy
  22. I believe Manziel was almost forced to after he won the Heisman due to his popularity.
  23. Let me throw out a completely dark horse candidate. Darcel McBath - currently serving as Co-DC at Washington State, worked here as a Quality Control Defensive intern and has local ties, playing at Gainesville High School and Texas Tech.
