  1. Could be. The higher quality one to me sounded like he mentioned Nwigwe's name.
  2. Why can't we win AND everyone else win? Why is it always either/or?!!!! We finally get our crap together for an FBS game and The Belt brethren leave us standing all alone. Such douche bags.
  3. So what does 'nfm' mean? I always knew it to be no f'n message, but I don't think that's what OT intends
  4. Anyone understand what Parrish told Dodge? I gathered a few seconds of it, but then lose him.
  5. It was refreshing to go into the office after a UNT win. My two immediate bosses are Mean Green, with a whole lot of mixed Big XII blood elsewhere. UT, KU, Oklahoma State (!) and TTech alumn are within the department. Along with Houston and TCU. A guy moved on a few months ago: he brought WKU and Ol' Miss to the college sports sherbert that is my area. Maybe it's just me, but I feel after the disaster of the previous two years everyone in the office seems to wish us well.
  6. Thanks LJ. I think some people underestimate the 3rd-down conversions; how important they are for the offense to convert, and for the defense to make stops.
  7. Was it just me or did we abandon the zone-read that worked so well in the first half?
  8. So proud of these kids. The defense looked a like they have some salt in them after all! I do have some concerns about our offense and their inability to finish several of those drives. Return coverage looked solid. Field goal unit, well... Here's hoping Ball State wins out (and doesn't go 0-fer... ) Still, so refreshing to come on here and read about a win.
  9. One of my favorite Lebowski scenes is the Maude introduction: strapped to a sling suspended from the ceiling, she is flying naked towards the canvas flinging the paint everywhere. I also love any of the scenes with extended dialogue involving Walter.
  10. Riley for 400 yards on his 2nd carry-TD run.
  11. Where can we get that Flyer, at the Union Bookstore?
  12. I would like to read that interview. Don't know about DeLoach. I think he likes his front 4 to control the line of scrimmage so he has some flexibility with the LBs. Not a whole lotta blitzing, but he'll use it to keep the offense off balance.
  13. Bands/Albums (locals included) I've discovered the last decade that I will not regret. Just so we're on the same page, you're implying what we've listened to and not necessarily what has been released the last decade?: Snarky Puppy - Bring Us The Bright (These guys recently made their way to NYC. You don't know them until you've heard them live) The Owls Slobberbone (truthfully, that started the end of 1999) Phoenix (this year...guilty pleasure?) Joe Henderson - Inner Urge Any Wayne Shorter - one of the best jazz composers alive? Weather Report Pantera - VDOP Led Zeppelin Vladimir Ashkenazy - Rachmaninov Piano Concertos Glenn Gould - Goldberg Variations (Sony) Keith Jarrett - The Kohln Concert Hendrix Brad Mehldau - Largo. Any of his trio. Michael Brecker's posthumous release Pilgrimage is unbelievable. It will only get better and more appreciated as we move further away from his passing.
  14. It sounded like OSU believed he was going to out-athlete the Big XII. Raise your hand if you have a problem with him doing that to the Sun Belt.
  15. All that woe-is-UNT elsewhere and then you come in this thread to project a win? That is some weird Green Koolaid you must have.
  16. I would like to see numbers that prove our department could survive without football.
  17. Keystone was the choice back-when. You could get a 30 pack for about 16 (maybe 18) bucks at a Chevron on McKinney across from CP apartments. Now-a-days I'm getting into Lone Star.
  18. The time has come? After we approve a fee, have the state sign the dotted line and get our Board's approval for a stadium...NOW is the time for a change? This is misinformed, and seems to me a hidden plea for an undefeated football season. They just don't know about the latter yet.
  19. After you subscribe to any Mean Green folks (Toby is also a tweep!), I recommend perusing Wired Mag's 100 Geeks You Should Be Following on Twitter. There's bound to be someone on there you'd like to follow.
