  1. Why can't we just pass these guys up instead of following them up the ladder?
  2. So anyway, Tune would put on a white tie and tails and walk his cobra through the park on a leash. He named the cobra Beverly, and he taught it how to fetch and dial a phone. But then one day it bit the maid. So with tears in his eyes, Tune had to shoot the maid.
  3. Our reality is, upon Rodge's return we will be holding out breath every time he falls on that left shoulder.
  4. How can we forget the Tune-Tune double reverse that fools the safety and leaves J. Jackson all alone after beating the CB on the deep post.
  5. The Tide will need 8 mini-Ditkas to stop Cam Montgomery.
  6. Nathan Tune is suing Myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you.
  7. Did I ever tell you about the time Nathan Tune and I went horseback riding, but there weren't any horses around? Anyway, Nathan throws a saddle on my back and rides me around Wyoming for three days. Well, wouldn't ya know it, my stamina increased with each day, and I develop tremendous leg muscles. So anyway, Nathan decides to enter me into the Breeders Cup under the name Turkish Delight. And Im running in second place, and I'm running, and I break my ankle. So anyway, they're about to shoot me. Then someone from the crowd yells out, God bless him, "Dont shoot him, hes a human!"
  8. Nathan Tune is so good, he will win us another state title.
  9. Just stirring the pot here: haven't we been leaving points on the field for 2 years? I seem to recall making that observation during Dodge year 1, that we were flying between the 20s and having trouble finishing off drives. Still, we are in a much better position to win because our offense and defense are working together and managing the clock to our benefit.
  10. How many of you truthfully thought after the Ball State win this was a legitimate 8-9 win squad?
  11. I'm starting to think the two-back set is an ongoing experiment with Todge. I think it's a great formation, but it has not been that successful for us yet. Is he still figuring out what he can do with it? Also, maybe Dunbar was in there with Tune to offset the loss of speed that Riley took to the bench.
  12. Wishful thinking, or purely confused?
  13. Anyone else think Tune looked completely different from last year? I don't think it is a stretch to say he has watched Riley enough to understand Todge's intentions, and has made the adjustments necessary to drive this truck. He knows he is not as mobile as Riley, but so does Todd and they will gameplan (I hope?) accordingly.
  14. I didn't mind how it played out. The Ohio catch for the go-ahead win was ridiculous and a 1-in-10 odds to happen again. Otherwise, the game was our's.
  15. I was out of town this weekend. I returned late last night and watched the recording. Good read, LJ. If we could stop dropping passes and finish off some of those drives, this would have been a W. But you also have to give kudos to Ohio for playing hard and being in a position to make that miraculous catch in 2OT to walk out with the win. I am very impressed by Atterbery (sp?). Royce is a stud, and I think I saw flashes of what Cook could become. I will be keeping a closer eye on him. DL showed improvement, IMO. That has a lot to do with DeLoach, Nelson, and Co. I'm so glad they're here and their coaching experience is showing.
  16. Welcome to the board. It seems to be a running theme that UNT gets to see fireworks when the visiting team wins.
  17. ha! I have this image of a 28K seat stadium with retractable seats for 2,000 more if it is a dry day.
  18. Is that how the kids are saving parking spots these days?
  19. I hope he turns it around. I really like having him and his parents part of MGN. Good folks.
  20. It is not even cold. If the players can play in it, you can be there. You'll live.
