GULP! Anyone else here expect to see some 'Hack-a-Keith' next season?

This upcoming season, UNT will still be playing in the SunBelt. I expect to see us ranked very high on this mid-major poll. Once we make the move to CUSA, we wont need to be on this poll as we will be on the AP top 25.

From what I've seen and heard of Overlander, it sounds like we may be hearing a lot of: "Jones drives... kicks to Overlander, for three... YES!" calls from Hank. If Walton can't make consistently good choices re: shot selection, then we may see his time slip and Overlander's rise.

The problem here is, you're excluding A LOT of private schools with deep pockets and alumni in high places up to, and including congress, that will keep this from happening in a heartbeat. The privates you mention are: USC, BYU, Stanford, Notre Dame, Northwestern, BC, & Syracuse. You're leaving out Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, SMU, TCU, and Baylor.

Yeah. I was trying to be ambiguous saying he grew that much "over the year". Last season's roster lists him at 6'6". So either way, he's grown... and he may not be done?

The answer to your question is a resounding "YES!" When he is playing, be it 162 games or 100 games, he is a force to be reckoned with and is a game changer. Worth every dime a team can throw at him.

Also, another note from coach Benford from the coaches' caravan: Jordan Williams grew 2 inches over the year. He's now at 6'7".

That is certainly good news. I think when he sees how well JWill plays transition offense (one of, if not the best transition players I've seen with my own eyes), he'll be sure to incorporate that style into his gameplan. He has to. When it comes to transition, JWill just knows exactly where to be, and he gets there quickly. Many times, the result is a crowd-rousing flush!

I think Franklin can do this. He has a pretty good interior offensive game.

If I remember correctly though, he said Odoh was released to pursue other options.

According to coach Benford at the coaches caravan last night, the reason we did not get Odoh was because of his grades. I hope that is true.

Odoh signed a Letter of Intent to attend North Texas, not to play for JJ. Now, it appears that is no longer the case, and it has been reported that Benford has not met with Odoh. Sounds very fishy...I hope this isn't the Buzz Williams influence showing through. Now, it may be difficult for Odoh to sign with another school because it's so late. I'm just saying I hope Odoh was not released from his LOI (if he even was... we don't know) without speaking to coach Benford, because that would be wrong.
