Id also like to avoid the assistant coach pool too. I just believe we need to find a guy who is a HC right now. $ is ultimately going to dictate our candidate pool. I think we could have a lot of good interest in this job once it opens if the AD is willing to spend some $. If we kept the pay near what its at you'll probably end up with an assistant coach or retread. If Scott Cross leaves UTA we can certainly claim the 3rd best spot in the DFW area. I dont think we will ever be able to catch up to TCU or SMU. The cupboard bare thing is half right. There are some decent pieces to work with, but there is less talent than when Benford took over. Some good coaching could fix a few things and get us back to .500 or right above next year.

Desoto probably couldnt have slowed down LT on offense, but they wouldve been able to score. The Woodlands just didnt have enough explosive guys on offense. Also struggled in the trenches.

Was there too. Lake Travis was a machine. The Woodlands never had a chance. A Lake Travis Desoto matchup would've been better.

He intentionally went low because that's all he could do. He knew he couldn't get to the QB cleanly so he lunged as he was already kind of low. He didn't intentionally mean to hurt him. It's just part of the game. It is a somewhat dirty play. You don't go for the legs like that. But it's time to move on and stop wasting time on this.
