  1. Southern Miss will be providing a live video production for this game. It should be added to the CUSA.tv schedule later today.
  2. He has improved his deep ball accuracy. His issues come when he doesn't have a throwing lane. He gets rattled by pressure. A big concern since his OL is poor.
  3. We assesses our QB's abilities way to much already. No need to do that.
  4. Iowa 34 UNT 17 Iowa is going to have to throw the ball really well to blow UNT out.
  5. 5 of his 6 TDs have come in garbage time. In order for him to be good he needs great protection. Against pressure he's just not that good bc he can't see. He's a good kid, but he won't get us to 8 wins without an OL that all conf players on it. What has he done against the blitz? Against pressure? What are his numbers when the game is close? Give me stats that actually matter.
  6. No this is a fan board. This isn't football. I don't care what you give. You're just another old white man who I can blame for ruining this country.
  7. Hey old man you need to take your shit somewhere else. The great people of GMG.com don't need you to tell them their team is sucky. Go suck on some TCU titty over at Killer Frogs.com
  8. A fan board website is the last place I'd expect to see class. It's a waste of time for a fan of a suspected rival team to come post about not being classy enough. I don't care what she did for UTSA or what kind of person she is. She has nothing to do with my college. So she can go have a nice retirement or do whatever she is going to do.
  9. A lot of Beaumont/Port Arthur evacuees are in the Dallas Megashelter. Probably over a thousand and that number is only going to go up and go up by another thousand.
  10. It will almost be out of Louisiana by Thursday. By tomorrow afternoon it should be east of that area.
  11. Not really. Its not like they were hurting for cash. They had the money traded and got the extra pick. Get an experienced QB with no real risk. He was better than anything they had.
  12. Phil Steele has NT at Offense 28.3 Defense 30.6 Yards Offense 383.7 Defense 415.5 Pretty realistic expectations
  13. They do have more returning starters this year than they did last year. Have the best DL in the league. Get USM and UTSA at home. Wouldnt be surprised if Jaylon Ferguson ends up as the defensive player of the year. If you had to chose between USM, UTSA, & La Tech as a writer you'd probably lean towards the better coach in Holtz. 14-2 at home last 2 years. Title game 2 out of last 3 years. 19-7 in CUSA in those 3 years. They come off as being more trustworthy than UTSA or USM.
  14. In McCasland's program there is always a need for those type of guys. So he will fit and will play.
  15. Sun Belt was way above the CUSA in terms of overall play. I dont believe calling these Belt level recruits is the right way to word it. These guys are solid mid major level recruits. MTSU doesnt have as good of a class as UNT does this year. Yes WKU is lighting it up, but so is UTEP. UAB isnt far behind. Its needed for McCasland. He is very athletic, gets to the rim, and rebounds the ball very well.
  16. So true. He didnt know how to build a program. This is more of a planned roster overhauling than Benford's looking for a miracle quick fix. The mystery will be how well the play together it wont be about talent. There are plenty of guys who could stand out. Smart, Gibson, Duffy are flat out scorers. You still have Lawson & Woolridge who can get to the basket. Miller fits into that category too. All the guards they brought in can rebound the ball well. Most of the scoring will come from the guards. Tikhonenko is a bit of mystery. Heard he is really good. He could be a scoring rebounder guy or 3 point rebounder. Either way his height allows the floor to be spaced nicely. Arikawe, Simmons, & Temara should be good rebounders. Simmons could be a scoring paint protector. If I had to pick someone to stand out it would between Duffy, Lawson, & Miller
  17. For as much pressure as Grant wants to put on the ball we could probably find a defensive ball handler. Someone who excels on D and gets to the rim on O not necessarily a great shooter. Although I wouldn't mind another paint protecter body. A guy who could get defensive boards and provide solid post D.
  18. I think it will be Arikawe and Simmons who could be battling for the 5 spot. I view Temara a 3 Point Rebounder I view Arikawe and Simmons as Paint Protectors. Although Simmons could develop into a Scoring Paint Protector
  19. Gibson, Smart, Lawson, Arikawe, & Temara or Gibson, Woolridge, Lawson, Arikawe, & Temara or Woolridge, Smart, Lawson, Arikawe, & Temara
  20. Just my thoughts, it looks like he plays more off the ball than with it. So he looks more like a 2
  21. I didnt give you the -1, but it shouldnt impact him that much. If Smart ends up being a starter you can always slide Lawson to the 3. I'd argue that Lawson is more of a 3 than a 2 guard anyways.
  22. UNT needs to acquire some guards this off season. We need depth and better play from that position next year.
