When I was in school during part of the Dodge years the attendance never got this low. I wonder why the attendance is dreadful this year compared to the Dodge years when the Dodge years were just as bad.

I didn't watch the entire game (got home late from work / watched Dallas Stars) but what I saw form D. Smith didn't look all that great. I mostly watched the third quarter and turned away after the fumble. So good to see that his actual stats improved, albeit against the backups. Still wish D. Williams had not transferred. I feel like D. Williams has more potential / is more ready than D. Smith. But not doubt D. Smith is the guy for the rest of the year. How many years do we get S. Smith? I would be all in in putting Dillman in for a look at QB. As another poster said, but your best athletes in there. Also what is the deal on C. Means?

I would rather have Meacham just because I know more about him dating back to his UH days.

I voted for Briles but would be happy with pretty much any of those coaches.

Solid list. I also think Meacham would be a huge get but may be a stretch financially. We must get someone who will implement a up-tempo offense that HS kids will actually want to play out. No more old school offense philosophy.

I agree that our next coach needs to be young, enthusiastic, exciting and innovative (such as Tom Herman at UH or Chad Morris at SMU). No more retreads like Mac who live off past "success." We need a damn shot of energy in to this program.

Really feel bad for Dunbar. Each year he has taken on more responsibility and has improved. Having a great season so far and you could tell the Cowboys were starting to really rely on him. Speedy recovery number 5 and 25!

I shift my focus to the Rangers, Stars, Cowboys, UH, Spurs, and Texans (lolz). That is enough to keep me busy.

I turned away and missed the injury. Just showed him on the sideline and he looked pretty shook up. Hope it's minor cause the Cowboys really need him.

I think a Dodge team with Dunbar would beat this team.

It's as if Smith, and DW before him, never get a real chance. When they get in we totally abandon the run and make them throw on every down. Keep some form of balance.

Best part of going to law school is that I can now cheer on the Houston Courgars. You know, a school that fired their coach after going 8-4.

Makes me sick to see direction or university is going in athletics. We have the most incompetent leadership in FBS. If this were any other profession RV would be terminated without a severance package and shown the door by a hired temporary security guard.

Our spring game was a hard fought victory. I think we now above .500 in spring games. Back off man.

I came in curious as to what there could possibly be to like. Was not disappointed.

Yeah. Actually feeling good right now. Take away the Kidsy and Ivery fumble and we would be leading. Tough breaks that can be cleared up at halftime.
