  1. Yawn. Only SWC old farts would be impressed.
  2. I would double my donation. However, it should be said that I had my wife 87.54% sold on two 50 yardline club seats for next year. After the Rice game, driving home, I think it went down to 33.21%. She has nearly lost her stomach for losing and just doesn't have much fun at the games anymore. It has been 7 years since she really enjoyed a home game. If we hired a big time coach, I am 56% certain she would be 100% in on the club seats.
  3. I don't think Riley should be put in the position to hurt himself more, save his dad's job and take the brunt of the criticism. It just isn't right. Sure, he is on scholarship, so he should do anything on the field he is asked to do -- but that isn't the question. Long term, Riley isn't the answer. Short term, Riley isn't the clear cut answer either. Therefore, go with one of the freshmen on the bench (DT or CB).
  4. Wow. Everyone makes rash decisions that they feel embarrassed about. I guess that is the point, bob doesn't seem to care about his decision. This is still a harsh public lambasting.
  5. I was looking for the schedule of sports talk, like the image says "Click here for schedule".
  6. I think it is pretty obvious Tune is an admin's favorite. There is a picture at the top of the forum eulogizing him. It looks like the man died instead of having a recoverable football injury.
  7. I am not trying to bust anyone's balls, but I went to kntu.com and clicked on huge graphic that says: "UNT SPORTS ARE ON 88.1 fm the one | KNTU -- click here for schedules" ..and it pointed to the root of http://www.meangreensports.com/ which has no schedules for the radio.
  8. I didn't know they had cards. I have never received one. Is it laminated? Plastic?
  9. I agree so much that I may give you a sixer of canned shiner.
  10. That is a refreshing perspective. A big welcome aboard. This train sometimes seems like it is going somewhere. Other times it seems like the commuter train going back and forth every 30 minutes. I hope your son keeps that green fever -- we need folks just like you.
  11. I can tell you right now that a dislocation alone doesn't require surgery. However, a dislocation with a break... ouch. Hang in there Nate. I am glad you have that pool at the AC to help rehab.
  12. Agreed. It was impressive. Thanks for bringing it up. The deserve the props.
  13. He is way better than Ford, but he isn't quite walking on water.
  14. HSO: He hasn't been a stellar OC either.
  15. Sounds good to me. I prefer an AD that: 1) Actually raises some money and doesn't require a semi-shady UNT loan to complete the AC. 2) Raises money for the stadium, instead of solely depending on a student fee before proceeding. 3) Doesn't hire a low budget high school coach AND ALLOWED him to bring his entire HS staff with him. 4) When said HS coach and staff are failing, doesn't stomp up and down the field showing the displeasure of his hire. 5) Sits up in the box where he belongs 6) Follows up with his promises (quarterly meetings, "blogs", and the such) I was looking at the donor list and noticed some missing names this year. In fact, looking around section E, I didn't see these "high profile" people either. Struck me odd.
  16. +1 Not only yes, but hell yes. I turned on football today and felt some embarrassment for the Mean Green sucking it up lastnight. Then during a conversation with my wife I learned that earlier this summer she had a 14yo patient that came into the ER with an old spice bottle stuck up his keester. THAT is embarassing. I instantly felt better. So keep that 14yo old spice boy in your mind while thinking about Chico and TD. It helps me.
  17. Dickey played starters on ST. I think we are at the point. We need as much talent playing as we can get at all times.
  18. Well, I was only talking about this site in particular. It is a miracle that given our terrible record in the past 6 years, that we can have the 6th largest crowd in Fouts history to open the season.
  19. You will never hear me say that we have been lacking in the coaching experience. However, this year we have experience all over the coaching payroll. Therefore I wasn't taking the history of the program into my argument. I was taking this team and this year. Game one was well coached. Game two was an abortion. I still want to see game three before my head asplodes. I figured we would be 2-2 in our first 4. I didn't think we would lose our one home game though. Let's see what this team can string together in the next two weeks. I am letting this new experience gel. If it doesn't, then we know the end result of the season. So I am not getting gray haired on this game -- we know how the story ends if he continues to lose. It has been a rough start to the season with injuries. I can't remember a season like it. Yet, this is why we have the experienced coaches to coach us out of this situation. I just hope they can do it and save their jobs.
  20. I feel we are one loss away from some fans on here writing their good bye letters. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
  21. I'm just pissed that Dodge blew Thompson's redshirt with that effort. I wish he put in Atterberry to play QB. You with me?! Is this the thong you are talking about?
