  1. Yes, it is channel 631 on Direct TV.
  2. Good point. Montey played a great game as well (which I pointed out in another thread). That interception certainly provided a spark.
  3. Two things: 1. I would have given the game ball to Joseph Miller. That guy was a beast the entire game. Keep it up!!! 2. I really hate seeing it being mentioned that beating ULM is a "upset". I know they were favored, but it really puts the state of the program in perspective when you read things like this.
  4. A defense that took control of and won that game for us. Major props to the defensive line, especially Miller, Gilmore, and Stevenson. Also, Aaron Weathers played a tremendous game. We were all over the defense for the first 5 games, now they deserve the same gushing praise the offense was getting for winning that game for us. Good work boys! *Also, major kudos to the NT fanbase for the great turnout. Very encouraging display by our fans on Saturday.
  5. Agree. Nothing could look more "bush league" than this. Sorry you had to go through that Rick. Especially with your kid standing right there.
  6. The Direct TV Premiere package has it. As do the Plus and Choice Extra packages.
  7. JD. It showed up on my Direct TV last week. I set it to record. It's on channel 631 on Direct TV. The channel is Sports South.
  8. TCU game a couple of years back was a really good crowd too. NMSU conference games were also pretty fun/well attended. That center from NMSU that couldn't get into NT got heckled mercilessly by the crowd. And who could forget ULL and Brad Boyd (CBL, I'm looking in your direction).
  9. Lets just focus on getting a W against ULM. Then we can go from there.
  10. This is something I've been meaning to comment on as well (might count as a thread hi-jack...but i don't care). I'd really like to see our schedules in the future feature more than 1 home game before the middle of October. Much has been attributed to our awful season so far, but playing so many away games early in the year certainly contributes as well. I know we had a good show of support at SMU, but it is not the same as playing at home.
  11. I also think that you will not see Vizza come out as shaky to start this game. If we can establish the offense early this week (and sustain it), we should give ourselves a chance.
  12. I never realized what a well orchestrated, diabolical part Ramone Archie played in trying to take down NT athletics. Well played, sir.
  13. I'd like to add Tony Little, Gunner Peterson, and Chuck Norris to the list of candidates.
  14. I was going to make a thread out of this topic, but you beat me to the point. Would it kill us to line up under center on 3rd and short and 4th and short situations? I don't understand us only needing half a yard, and we line up in the shotgun. We could easily QB sneak in those situations to pick up half a yard (especially with a QB like Vizza)
  15. Don't care about predicting the score. Somehow we find a way to pull out our first win of the season.
  16. This is exactly what I can agree with. We can all agree to disagree on the Vizza-Meager situation ...it is not nearly as important as figuring out how to fix this defense and sorting out the special teams.
  17. You've brought up plenty of good points in the last couple of weeks, but this is one where I just don't agree with the assessment. When we were moving the ball and scored against Arkansas in the 2nd quarter, it was not against scout teamers. Meager made plenty of mistakes in the games as well. I know that you know this. Some people expect more out of their RS Junior QB (and I'm not laying everything at Danny's feet for these losses) and would rather see what the future can do in these games. Maybe if we end up with a 2nd loss in Sunbelt. You can agree with Dodge's overall plan, and still question some of the things we are seeing on the field ie. defense, inconsistent QB play, and overall poor special teams. That doesn't make you a "Whiney Baby".
  18. Careful. With comments like these your gonna be labeled as one of those dirty NT fans who don't want to face any competition. You'll get the standard "We are scheduling for success", and "We should view the LSU, UT, OU games as opportunities" responses. How nice would it be to open the season at home, or against someone we have a reasonable chance to beat for a change?
