Green Lantern

I really like Cajun field. Went to the game last year with a couple of buddies and we were having the discussion about where our program would be if we had a stadium similar to theirs. It's a fun place to watch a game and the Cajuns definately have the tailgaiting situation under control.

Coming from Lewisville. About a 20 min trip. Usually Stop at Brookshires on Teasly for beer.

Saltwater...operated by the people who own Sweetwater. Its across the street from Sweetwater and the seafood is great!

Of course in order to change the Mean Green name, people would actually have to be able to explain what a Mean Green is

I have seen the shirts that they are handing out w/new logo at orientation and the shade of green on those shirts is too light as well. I asked about why the shade was lighter than the green that we are supposed to have and was told that the school is having a very hard time finding maufacturers that can produce that color on short notice. At least the new logos are starting to get out there one way or another. I have overheard many parents talking about how they like the new eagle logos (so that positive). Plus I have seen tons of the new students at the orientation wearing their new logos and colors. Hopefully this is all a good sign! We could use a few (thousand) more fans

I had a scenario that unfolded exactly like how you explained at the UT game last year. I was in line for the restroom and some idiot UT fan started mouthing off to me about how NT sucks and how we were getting our asses kicked. I smiled and played along eventually asking him what year he graduated from UT (he looked to be in his mid thirties), and i could have mapped out his response in my mind before he even said it. "Well, I didn't actually go to UT, but my dad...blah blah blah". So I told the guy that at least I am man enough to support my school and be proud to wear green regardless of the circumstances (ie getting killed in that UT game). Naturally, he did not have anything to say to that and was actually laughed at by several actualy UT alums in line as well. The mob/herd mentallity is very prevalent. It takes a certain mentality to be able to differentiate yourself from what is considered to be "cool" or popularly accepted. Many of NT's fans have had similar experience to the one that I had this last year and I'm always excited to hear when they stand up to these blowhards.

I would be all for a series with the Lobos. Consistently good team with a good group of fans. Plus, I wouldn't mind the road trip to Albaquerque.

Probably less than that. After working at the Pit for three years, I would estimate between 1200-1400 for tonights game. May end up with a few more due to the Chamber of Commerce mixer, but they rarely stay for the entire game. The only way you will see an attendance spike is if we string a few more wins together. In coach Jones first season, the attendance really picked up when the team started playing well and stringing a bunch of wins together towards the end of the season. Go Mean Green!
